He's almost certainly paid more in tax in the US, even if he hasn't paid much income tax in the States.

As I understand it, the chinese bank accounts are not his personal accounts.

Still. Not a good look.

What on earth has got into Bokkom?
I can only imagine he's unhappy at Biden doing well in the polls.
Hmmmm....it would appear that trump is rallying in the polls. Florida, N Carolina and Georgia showing either ties or 1 point either way.

Seems like the trump silent majority is starting to come forward.

The crazy b*stards are going to vote him in again!

Florida and N Caroline are both showing lots of polls with Biden holding leads, albeit small. But as someone once said - if every poll shows you losing, you stop talking about the margin of error - you're losing. If Trump can't win in Georgia he's dead in the water regardless - he then needs N Carolina, Ohio, Arizona and Florida just to get to the point where winning Pennsylvania would get him a very narrow EC win.

538 put his chances somewhere around 1 in 8 to 1 in 9 - so it's no slam dunk for Biden, but it's going to need Donald pulling something amazing out of the bag to win from here. By contrast last time out they had Trump with between 1 in 3 and 1 in 2.

It looks as if Georgia is swinging back to Democrat as it was when I got here.

How long have you lived there? Georgia has been Republican since '64, other than twice for native son Jimmy Carter and once for Bill. I think it might be moving towards being a swing state, but I'd want to see another election or two to believe that

In 1998 the governor was Roy Barnes, a Democrat. The state majority in Georgia in both house and senate was democrat. and at least one of the senators was democrat.

The reputation of Rudy Giuliani could be set for a further blow with the release of highly embarrassing footage in Sacha Baron Cohen’s follow-up to Borat.

In the film, released on Friday, the former New York mayor and current personal attorney to Donald Trump is seen reaching into his trousers and apparently touching his genitals while reclining on a bed in the presence of the actor playing Borat’s daughter, who is posing as a TV journalist.

Historically, 1st World meant USA/NATO/anti-Soviet aligned states, 2nd world meant Commies and 3rd world meant non-aligned or neutral. Since most 3rd World countries were in Africa, the subcontinent and South America, it became shorthand for something rather less flattering.

So, have the first four years of Trump's leadership Made America Great Again, or have they precipitated its decline?

https://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2020-54541907

Biden may be an imperfect challenger; his son may owe a business deal or two to his father's connections, his advanced years may offer a Trojan Horse to more liberal entities, but it's very difficult to believe that he would do worse than Trump and every reason to think that he would start to arrest the degeneration.

Biden has yet to say if he supports increasing the number of justices, but I’ve heard that one of the ideas which might be proposed is limiting the time a justice could serve, down from life to something like eighteen years. I quite like that. And along with that, there should also be term limits on how long a senator could serve, also down to eighteen years.

To me a large problem is that there are a lot who will only ever vote either Democrat or Republican, no matter what. As a little aside, in my wife’s bookclub a couple of these women got on very well together and with my wife did a fair amount of socializing. Then one found out that the other had voted Republican in an election, and from then onwards refused to speak to her.

Imposing term limits was part of Trump's "plan" to drain the swamp wasn’t it?

Term limits on SCOTUS would need a constutional amendment wouldn't it? If so, you can forget about that

Sure. And the senate and house will never impose limits on themselves.

And don’t remember Trump saying it, but this time the rumours come from the Democratic side.
And to me, the idea of the increasing the number of justices is silly as it could just land up with the others increasing it again when they get control again.

I don't know what the answer is to SCOTUS, but we've effectively reached the point where no justice will be approved if the Senate and President are different parties. There's no reason at all now the the Merick Garland delay can't stretch to 4 years, or even 8, if needed. This works both ways.

Increasing to match the number of circuits carries some level of weight. That's how it ended up at 9 right?
