Wonder if Diane "the brain" Abbott will resign in protest, or will she she keep her head low as she still wants to feed at the trough.

Has this happened before? As in a political leader being suspended from the party they led, Alex Salmond resigned from the SNP as opposed to suspended.

Not suspended but it does appear the leadership of the SNP spent quite a lot of effort in trying to get him convicted as a rapist which I am not sure is any less dramatic.

She may not get the option to lie low.
Formal complaints against Jeremy Corbyn and more than a dozen other Labour MPs have been submitted to the party in response to the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s report on antisemitism.

The Campaign Against Antisemitism said Keir Starmer must implement reforms and hold its members to account. “To that end, we have submitted complaints against Jeremy Corbyn, Diane Abbott and 15 other sitting MPs, and have given Labour six months to conduct transparent investigations and finally deliver justice for the Jewish community,” it said

Corbyn wasnt suspended because of what the report said or any anti semitism he might have espoused.

He was suspended for his "reaction" to the report.

the lowest hanging fruit in ukpol is going after Diane she's probably has more nerve, gut, and integrity than the vast majority of the opposition, but then again that's not an awfully high ceiling.

Pissing in from the outside though. Vocal on Twitter, but irrelevant for a (hopefully long) while until the next time memories fade and Labour hit the self destruct button again

Don’t worry, the Corbyn brains trust are on the case:
Jeremy Corbyn, Seumas Milne and Karie Murphy just held a "council of war" on how to respond

They were joined on Zoom by John McDonnell, reps of Unite, Momentum, CLPD + Campaign Group

One source says Starmer "in big trouble" and the belief is he is on "dodgy legal ground"
I am sure former DPP, Kei Starmer, will be no match for their combined legal knowledge.

Unfortunately we are stuck with Boris and his cabinet of clowns for another 4 years, having a useless tit in opposition like Corbyn allows shite like that to happen.

Corbyn (and the associated hard left of the party) attacking Starmer would be a great PR coup for Starmer. What could Corbyn-hating middle England see as a better endorsement for Starmer than being attacked by the man they rejected in overwhelming numbers?

Indeed, but to think that all the hard left of the Party support Corbyn is complete bollocks.
Large swathes of the left hate the metropolitan trendy lefty shit he spouted. :bimbo:

I'm always a bit confused over definitions, Hard Left, to me, means Stalinism or that ball park, certainly not anything to do with the Labour Party, I wouldn't consider The Morning Star to be Hard Left, for example.
