He’s been all over the brexit thread. Wait, which one are you on about?
Not just today.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/world/americas/ ... ion-defeatIn the 19 days since the election, 12 have included no events on the president's schedule. He has appeared at public events four times and has played golf at his Virginia course six times.
He has taken no questions from reporters.
Since Election Day, he has spoken 8143 words publicly over 18 days through until Saturday, according to Factba.se, a website that tracks all of his utterances and movements. On average in 2020, he spoke 8398 words daily, according to Bill Frischling, the website's owner, but only 454 words per day since November 3.
On the last day of the campaign alone, he uttered more than 55,000 words.
He averaged about 48 minutes on camera every day in 2020, Frischling said. He has spent about 50 minutes on camera since November 3.
His fluffers, acolytes and morons in waiting have attempted to make up the difference with a cacophony bluster and bullshit. The angst and panic, in turns, is palpable and bloody marvellous.
And Michigan just certified their results.
That fukker Shinkle abstained.

The lone holdout was GOP board member Norman Shinkle, who told The Washington Post in an interview last week that he was leaning toward seeking a delay. Shinkle cited a debunked conspiracy theory aired by Trump that voting machines made by a company called Dominion deleted thousands of Trump votes.

The Loser has finally told the GSA to start the transition protocols, & says he will tell his people to cooperate
... we'll see how the reality matches the tweet.
I'm guessing that the polls in Georgia aren't going in the direction the GOP want's, & his hissy fit is whats fucking up their chances of keeping the Senate.

More importantly, why on earth are politicians doing what, in any other credible democracy, would be the duty of an independent official or a semi-judicial role (non-elected and/or not appointed by a politician)?

In the US & some other Countries it is possible to remove an elected official before the end of the term, by getting enough signatures to force a recall vote; i.e. to force an unfit person out of office, & have a new election for the office.Ted. wrote: Mon Nov 23, 2020 11:25 pmWhat is a recall vote?fishfoodie wrote: Mon Nov 23, 2020 10:30 pmTime for the good people of Michigan to start a recall vote against him then !Snooze wrote: Mon Nov 23, 2020 10:12 pm And Michigan just certified their results.![]()

Ta very much for that. Mind you, I have seen little evidence of it being applied or actually being useful. For instance, Joe Aripo survived two recall petitions and how is it that Mitch McConnell is still in the Senate?

that & recall votes are two parters; it's often possible to get the signatures to force the vote; but getting people to turn out to force the arsehole out of office is harder. Ian Paisley Jr would be case in point in NI.
If Trump has taught us anything, it's that the good people of Michigan are very likely to keep voting for him, incomprehensible as it may be for non-Americans.fishfoodie wrote: Mon Nov 23, 2020 10:30 pmTime for the good people of Michigan to start a recall vote against him then !Snooze wrote: Mon Nov 23, 2020 10:12 pm And Michigan just certified their results.![]()

Trump still has Schedule F up his sleeve.

It's too tempting for him not to use this. He hasn't until now, at least not extensively to my knowledge, because he's still holding out a the hope he will win. As it dawns on him that he's out on his fat arse, he will look for a victory in any way he know how, i.e. without moral or ethical constraints. It's the only reason I can see for creating the executive order in its current form.

I would love to now see Biden do a Trump and appoint Hunter to some high security position and wave any vetting just to watch Mitch & co heads explode with hypocritical indignation.

If he has given up the ghost, get his obstructive, lying, racist, sexist, nepotistitic, mushroom dicked, baby hands, grifting, living every day in the shadow of his failure, never been loved, wishing he was incestuous, orange arse out of the way of the transition as soon as possible.Rinkals wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 8:59 am Am I the only one who's a little bit disappointed?

Deny him the drama his hollowed out soul needs.

Just noticing the photos of him playing golf: He seems to have slimmed down a tad.
As we can be pretty sure he hasn't departed from his junk food diet, the suspicion arises that he has been suffering the effects of the covids; it can't be worry about what will happen when the Deutsche Bank forecloses and Vlad wants his investment returned.
I wouldn't be terribly surprised to read that he had expired on the eighteenth.

I think he secured that when he sent a Childrens Cancer Hospital the full bill for a fundraising event at his resort; after he overrode Eric telling them they could have the event on the house.
And your argument for Bernie winning the rust belt is? The fact he beat Clinton in the Democratic Primaries doesn’t mean he would have defeated Trump in 2016.eldanielfire wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 3:21 pmAs people have pointed out for years, Bernie would have had the rust belt going against Trump in 2016.Un Pilier wrote: Sun Nov 08, 2020 10:22 pmI’m not sure how Bernie could have won the rust belt. Its also worth pointing out that now that we have a better idea of the final tallies, Trump didn't really come close to winning this election. Biden secured more overall votes than any previous President, and won the popular vote by over 6 million. In recent times, only Obama's first election secured a better winning margin. Once all votes are certified, Biden is also likely to have 306 votes in the Electoral College, which is slightly more than Trump managed in his 'landslide' victory 4 years ago. In the swing states that Trump has been contesting, with the exception of Georgia, Biden's winning margin has been substantial, and even in Georgia his final winning margin was over 12,000.Un Pilier wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 10:57 pmAnd your argument for Bernie winning the rust belt is? Where the Democrats have done less well is in the Senate elections, but Biden has delivered on his promise to defeat Trump.
The EC margin is effectively identical - Trump lost a couple to faithless electorsLobby wrote: Wed Nov 25, 2020 11:33 amIts also worth pointing out that now that we have a better idea of the final tallies, Trump didn't really come close to winning this election. The outgoing administration's quest to burn everything down before they're hurled into the pile of shit they richly deserve continues with attempts to bring back firing squads and electrocution as a means to carry out the death penalty, shit on the environment and on workers rights.
They are fucking scum, every last one of them. Trump is almost, well he's such an enormous manchild that you can understand why he dies what he dies, but the rest of them are just plain evil. And dull corporate, soulless evil at that. Wretched pricks, damaging their country because they can and because they are inured to the damage they cause by long custom.
