Feels weird to be walking away from this with a BP win* given how shoddy the all round performance has been.

Hard enough bagging 17 points in 17 games.sockwithaticket wrote: Sat Dec 12, 2020 7:16 pm Feels weird to be walking away from this with a BP win* given how shoddy the all round performance has been.

What is this 'star of the match' bullshit?
I thought someone may have misspoken earlier, but it seems to be a thing now

Nordies v ST and Brizzle v ASM were both excellent games.Un Pilier wrote: Sat Dec 12, 2020 7:29 pm I enjoyed the Bath / Scratlets match. Otherwise, not so much.

Gloucester's 2nds look like they'll be facing a long 80 minutes against Lyon on the evidence thus far.

Think the first twenty minutes here fits the definition of ‘prison style’

Well, that's something to take home. Really well worked set piece move to score.

Not at all convinced by taking the 3 here - Gloucester need to play as much as possible in Lyon’s half

Still time for a comeback! Nah, they're done. The task now is to keep it respectable.SaintK wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 1:28 pmBasteraud scores bonus point try in 23rd minutesockwithaticket wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 1:25 pm Well, that's something to take home. Really well worked set piece move to score.
As an aside, it's nice to see Bastareaud playing in his natural position. It's a shame so much of his career was squandered in the centre.

That young Glaws 8 has been good. Probably not going to be just a loan signing from Hartpury for long.
I know Lyon have probably slacked off and could probably switch on again if required, but Gloucester have done alright to stem the flow.

Trinder's out there too, but given how absent he is with injury you'd be forgiven for nto recognising him!SaintK wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 1:59 pmOnly names i've recognised in commentary are Ludlow, Ford-Robinson and Gibsonsockwithaticket wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 1:53 pmTbf, most of this lot aren't their usual bunch of flakes.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 1:52 pm

True. I wonder just where he'd be in the game without the injuriessockwithaticket wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 2:04 pmTrinder's out there too, but given how absent he is with injury you'd be forgiven for nto recognising him!SaintK wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 1:59 pmOnly names i've recognised in commentary are Ludlow, Ford-Robinson and Gibsonsockwithaticket wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 1:53 pm

Can you imagine trying to lever Bastareaud off the ball? You'd struggle with a bloody bulldozer.

When he and the not scummy Armitage played together, it was really hard to tell them apart. And not just physically.sockwithaticket wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 2:14 pm Can you imagine trying to lever Bastareaud off the ball? You'd struggle with a bloody bulldozer.

Glaws defence make Stains looks solid. If ASM or Racing played this lot, it'd be in danger of reaching 100.

Didn't realise Guy Armitage played with Bastareaud anywhere.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 2:20 pmWhen he and the not scummy Armitage played together, it was really hard to tell them apart. (I know you meant Steffon, but with a sexual assault conviction I'm not sure he qualifies as non-scummy...)

Was just thinking that a lot of the Lyon forwards looked like they could do with replacing, some really hanging expressions.

Apologies for the Daily Mail link, but I'm too lazy to spend much time googling it https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... rance.htmlTorquemada 1420 wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 2:25 pmsockwithaticket wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 2:23 pmDidn't realise Guy Armitage played with Bastareaud anywhere.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 2:20 pm

Not sure when I last saw a side so marmalised at the breakdown.
I for one am very surprised the 2nds/3rds weren't up to it.
Not looking forward to the Quins game - gutted we're missing our captain Lewies, and the absence of both Lasike (injury) and Esterhuizen (moron) will kill us against de Allende and Farrell. Oh well.
