There’s 100’s if not 1,000’s of variants in circulation. They even said they new it was 28% of infections in the middle of November, but the really crucial information became known just after Parliament and the courts etc are shut for Xmas.


What an unlucky thing to happen.

Hospitals in London are currently less full than the same date last year. As I said though if the R is 3.5 nightingales will be needed in London this time next week.

They're still rolling through the over 80s and getting to the care homes. The pace is picking up - They're over 350K through the first dose now and that number will probably triple by Christmas Eve.

But, even with 4 million doses available by the end of the year they don't have enough for all the extreme risk and front line to get their first dose - and the delivery schedule itself is already slipping from Belgium as manufacturing is not as smooth and error free as hoped

She is a fairly senior physio, and semi retired so can always take up a teaching role. My feeling just now is to be ultra cautious until vaccination is well established. We've done 9 months of this shite so 3 more shouldn't be too bad

Is probably the right answer. Her trust Occie Health probably have a better idea than her management, but even they probably can't give her a date - they might be able to indicate a place in the queue.

I wouldn't have thought she would be seen as front line though - so her priority will likely be based on age and health risks
