Let's just stick to Happy Holidays, it's 2020 FFS, religion has no ethical place in modern society.

Ho ho Hobart!
Merry Christmas from Tasmania, a-holers.
Lovely blue sky down here, but there ain't much heat in it.
Enjoy the day.

Must disagree Wet Socks. My faith has supported me all my life. I'm not a tub thumper on this at all. Each to his own. I think many who are looking after the sick, wounded and starving mostly have a faith background.wet-socks wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 10:40 pmWhat about the NPR boredies of Hindi, Buddhist, Islam & thousands of other denominations?monkey wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 7:00 am Merry Christmas to all the NPR boredies who are of the Christian faith.

Afternoon all, just wanted to take a minute to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy year, most of all good health! These days people don't spend much time or thought on some personal words to their friends and family, they just copy and paste some random shit and send it on. So, after all we've been though together this year I want to thank you for your friendship and wish you a happy 2018! You are the best gymnastics group anyone could ask for. Best wishes, Susan
I did my Christmas shopping in Hobart last year, seems like a nice place. Merry Christmas!Jimmy Smallsteps wrote: Fri Dec 25, 2020 3:58 am Ho ho Hobart!

That's a really poor generalization and certainly not true, the higher up you go in the medical field the less religious individuals you'd encounter, because you know.. higher education leads to people examining their beliefs critically... but even if you're claim was indeed true it doesn't somehow prove God exists as you seem to think it does... I had a flat-earther friend who was nice enough to help me shift house but the righteousness or redeeming qualities of someone's character doesn't somehow justify or make up for the evidence for their irrational beliefs. The two are independent.I think many who are looking after the sick, wounded and starving mostly have a faith background.
I think you'll find that the most wise & strong-minded people can think for themselves and don't require the threat of eternal damnation (conjured up by Bronze Age authority figures) hovering over their heads (or likewise the reward of eternal life) in order to be a good person. There is no such thing as Heaven, there is no thing as Hell. We are natural creatures, we live then we die.. just as every other species does, there's nothing magical about it, we exist on this earth for 80 years, for which we inevitably are destined to become worm food.. conservation of energy, the first law of thermodynamics, etc.. etc..
Have a fantastic break sir & Happy Holidays to you.

Whereas I agree religion is irrelevant, you are so desperate to show your woke credentials you are talking shite!! why would you wish someone not of the Christian faith a happy Christmas. Its like someone wishing a christian happy Diwali or Eid...wet-socks wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 10:40 pmWhat about the NPR boredies of Hindi, Buddhist, Islam & thousands of other denominations?monkey wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 7:00 am Merry Christmas to all the NPR boredies who are of the Christian faith.
