Hope the Canes can keep on from where they ended up last year, though a bit worried with Booth out for first part as I don't know a lot about other 9s. So 9-10 axis (which is major part of team) is a worry, but I don't have incredibly high hopes.
I don't think NZ has ever had worse depth at SR level. It's terrible.

Crusaders: Mo'unga, Cameron, Burke
Highlanders: Ioane, Hunt
Hurricanes: Garden-Bachop, Hickey
Chiefs: Gatland, Reihana, Trask
Blues: Black, Perofeta, Plummer

Zarn Sullivan (Blues) and Ruben Love (Hurricanes) could be great first-five prospects with time.
Haven't really noticed Love as much, but I think we have got some promising ones coming through. I do know as I said that Sullivan looks pretty handy to me, same as Trask, I liked the look of him at 10 a year or two back.

Kaleb Trask has shown glimpses of great promise, unfortunately his development was stunted in 2020 with Gatland preferring to use Aaron Cruden primarily at 10. This was a wasted year because Cruden was always leaving to Japan after one season, and the Chiefs still finished 0-8.

Behind Mo'unga and Beauden Barrett, Joshua Ioane is currently next in line. He didn't have a stellar 2020 season, but he has the all round game to be a test standard no.10. After Ioane, I think Otere Black is our 4th ranked option. Black looks to me to have an all-round game that would be greatly suited to test match Rugby, and I hope he gets some time in the AB environment soon. He turns 26 in May, so if he doesn't get an opportunity this year I suspect Black will be tempted offshore to take advantage of an 'easy rugby' payday. Hopefully Black has a great season with the Blues and demands a place in the 2021 AB squad based on form.

Just thought, is there any point of a Lions tour if crowds are prohibited? IMO the whole point of the Lions tour is the touring Home Nations supporters.
It may serve to lift the morale of the UK and South Africa's population which are reeling from high numbers of Covid deaths. The Eastern Cape - home of Mapimpi and Kolisi in particular would be hugely invested in such a tour. Watching from home would be awesome for poor people who are locked down. Empathy doesn't seem to be one of your strong suits. Not everyone lives in a Covid free first world paradise.

Yep I wouldn't argue too much with your points, and Black may surprise me and continue coming on this year (although I feel his time has almost passed). Admit thoughts on him maybe coloured on him as I have watched him hopefully for a few years now after talking to a relative that played club rugby with him coming through. Same person that told me back a few years that he thought Cruden had the ability to play AB rugby, and also funnily enough told me a few years later to watch a young winger called Sevu Reece after he had moved to Waikato and played in same club as him there.

I wonder what the quarantine requirements would be, assuming SA's still fucked up then. Would the touring team and their supporters have to spend a fortnight in isolation upon arrival in the republic, then another fortnight when they return home?

BRUMBIES to win Super Rugby AU and give the Sadists a run for their money in the crossover tourney.

Wallabies to win TRC.

Lions will be cancelled and the hilarity to commence.

Should be a bloody corker.

Many poor people would have benefited hugely from the jobs and money bought in by that tour. Do you find that hilarious?

You reap what you sow boet. This is what a few hundred years of corruption, ineptitude and hate brings. Poverty and misery. Don't blame me. Look within. If you are capable, which I doubt.

Months ago when your so called heroes cowardly refused to honour your RC contract, many Saffas on here were laughing about it. We tried to tell you that you wouldn't be playing the Lions but were dismissed as being envious.

Its starting to look like you were wrong isn't it.

Again.

It's hilarious because of your general attitude of certainty and arrogance. You guys are always right. And you are always certain. You ran away from a contract. Rather then be ashamed you gleefully revelled in getting one over the old enemies. You disgracefully laughed at taking the money for no work and told us you didn't care as you had the Lions tour in the bag.

Once again your attitude has bought you undone. That is the hilarity.

Not poor people's misfortune to be born in South Africa.

So you're talking about a few people on this board and maybe a few Rugby administrators. But the Lions tour is not going ahead chiefly because of the Covid crisis which is killing hundreds here each day. Not sure how you can find that hilarious unless you're a sociopath which I'm starting to suspect you are.

Covid is a mirror. It reflects who you are. If you are corrupt, inept, selfish and disorganised you will be hurt.

The UK, US and South Africa are prime examples of this.

That is why you will have no Lions tour.

Self inflicted wounds boet do not illicit much sympathy.

So you admit that you are simple. That something has happened to you to make you the sniveling piece of shit that you present yourself as, and that you are AC lite?

I feel sorry for you. If you need someone to talk to about your problems I am available to listen if you don't want to seek professional help.

Apologies if already discussed elsewhere.

Have any postponement plans been mentioned for the Lions series? I see the chances of the tour happening are being described as “bleak” by some UK publications with a decision to be made next month. I imagine it would be a logistical nightmare if even possible at all to attempt to re-schedule. If that was the case what are the alternatives? Could a test series take place in a single venue within a closed bubble or would that defeat the purpose? It would be a huge ask for the Lions to play without a build up and the old-fashioned tour is part of the beauty of the Lions concept. Pro-sport is still on in the UK but if that changes, would the Lions be prepared to send players who haven’t played?
