As a teen I may have had a fairly healthy interest in The Distillers (or rather Brody Dalle) despite not really liking their music

Dalle still looks alright now into her 40s

Sue Foley :
Orianthi - was going to be Michael Jackson’s guitarist until he threw a 6. Unlike some of the examples given so far, she is ACTUALLY hot and is ACTUALLY a legit, bad-ass plank spankerer. This is a decent cover of Voodoo Chile, there’s very few people with the cojones to take on Hendrix in front a big crowd...
My current crush is Steph Jones but she’s kinda elfin so, although she qualifies as ‘hot’ through being beautiful, it’s not really a lusting. Oh yeah, and she’s one of the finest musicians you’ll ever hear, too.

The current Pop Punk scene has a couple whose bands I also happen to like. Perhaps not for most of the bored if I've guessed the demographic right, but I'm only a few years older than them and still enjoy the music.
Bonnie Fraser of Stand Atlantic

Malia Endres of Glacier Veins

This video is almost like porn after nearly 11 months of basically being housebound and no gigs. Not only does it have live footage, but also depicts 20-somethings just dicking around killing time together between venues *wistful sigh*

I approve of this post and have just bought a Glacier Veins EP as a result.sockwithaticket wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:10 pm The current Pop Punk scene has a couple whose bands I also happen to like. Dreamspace EP? Probably my favourite work of theirs. The album they put out this year is really good, but it's got a bit too much additional layering on the vocals which is a bugbear of mine with a lot of 'alternative' music over the last few years, especially when it's someone who doesn't need it.
I feel that :(sockwithaticket wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:10 pm This video is almost like porn after nearly 11 months of basically being housebound and no gigs. Not only does it have live footage, but also depicts 20-somethings just dicking around killing time together between venues *wistful sigh*
Kids making loud noise - as it should be.
I got the first one, Clear Your Head. I went with what was on Bandcamp.sockwithaticket wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 11:29 amrobmatic wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 11:11 amI approve of this post and have just bought a Glacier Veins EP as a result.sockwithaticket wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:10 pmSpoilerShowThe current Pop Punk scene has a couple whose bands I also happen to like. Just checked my own bandcamp to see how I go their stuff, Dreamspace is on a label page rather than the band'srobmatic wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 12:08 pmI got the first one, Clear Your Head. I know they've since signed for Equal Vision, but the album's not on that page either, so I must have picked it up via 7 Digital as that's my go to if something's not on bandcamp.

The one thing this bored is missing is the nodding head smiley the old place had.Ali Cadoo wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 11:57 amI feel that :(sockwithaticket wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:10 pm This video is almost like porn after nearly 11 months of basically being housebound and no gigs. I actually have tickets for Stand Atlantic in late April at one of my favourite venues (Islington 02 academy, represent), I'm hoping against hope that the vaccination program is sufficiently underway for that to go ahead. My last gig was March 12th 2020 and I don't think I've gone more than a year without going to at least one show since I was 14 (am recently 30 for context). Bloody covid.
Ah, cool, cheers.sockwithaticket wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 12:15 pmJust checked my own bandcamp to see how I go their stuff, Dreamspace is on a label page rather than the band'srobmatic wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 12:08 pmI got the first one, Clear Your Head. No problem. Democratisation of music production has been a positive thing, but it does mean up and coming bands need people to put in a bit of effort to help spread the gospel on occasion.robmatic wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 12:43 pmAh, cool, cheers.sockwithaticket wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 12:15 pmJust checked my own bandcamp to see how I go their stuff, Dreamspace is on a label page rather than the band'srobmatic wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 12:08 pm

I last played a show Feb... the 6th, I think? Something like that. I’m not climbing the walls just yet but I can feel it building...sockwithaticket wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 12:21 pmThe one thing this bored is missing is the nodding head smiley the old place had.Ali Cadoo wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 11:57 amI feel that :(sockwithaticket wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:10 pm This video is almost like porn after nearly 11 months of basically being housebound and no gigs. Islington O2 is cool, I saw Steve Lukather there... errr... longer ago than I care to remember!
One of THE greatest blues guitarists... she just so happens to be a woman... the incomparable - and also smoking hot once upon a time - Bonnie Raitt. Watch how masterfully she attempts to keep track with what John Lee Hooker thinks he’s doing in this live version of one of the sexiest tunes ever recorded:
