4 or 5 served with Irish butter. Accompanied by Gentlemens relish, devilled kidneys or grilled lambs sweet breads. A decent champagne, chardonnay or milk stout is an appropriate accompanying quaff. Tea with a splash of milk and no sugar. A line or two or of Colombian is acceptable if you need a pick me up for a morning meeting.
Just put it through twice and wait for the sprinklers to go off

toast is overrated. prefer bread in nearly every situation except occasionally with marmalade when a 6/7 would be perfect

I've never quite worked out those conveyor belt toasters, I set the smoke alarm off the last time I used one, which would be this coming weekend last year in fact, the second round.
They had to get everyone to go and stand outside.
The breakfast was ace, though.
If you ate proper bread there would not be any need to toast it :PASMO wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 8:02 amWell if the thread was "what bread do you like for your toast" this would be a valid answer, but it isn't so these answers are pretentious wank.
I appreciate a bit of toasted sourdough.laurent wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 8:32 amIf you ate proper bread there would not be any need to toast it :P
But anyway, 5 or 6 ideally for me but the addition of copious amounts of good, salted butter means there is some leeway for me up and down.
Similar, only 5 for marmaldeHappyhooker wrote: Thu Feb 11, 2021 7:57 pm toast is overrated. prefer bread in nearly every situation except occasionally with marmalade when a 6/7 would be perfect
I prefer toasted crumpets or teacakes or pittas, to normal sliced bread, and prefer fried slice with a fry up to normal toast. Normal toast is student pauper food, along with pasta bakes and tuna and jacket & beans - nothing wrong in them per se but I’m not 20 so can afford to eat food that doesn’t taste of poverty.

5 or 6 with loads of melted butter and smoked mackerel. Nom fucking nom.
Saw an "Escape to France" program a few years ago and the local camp site shop sold lots of Brit food to cater to the tourists. However every Thursday they had a 100+ loaves of White Sliced delivered and the local French population would line up to buy it all.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 9:18 am For one thing, not using any of those abominations claiming to be bread!!!!!
