Kind of makes sense, with both of us being premier posters, but I would have to confess that my building skills is not as good as his.

WP Rugby, the gift that keeps on giving.REACTION: Western Province Rugby Football Union President Zelt Marais has been forced to withdraw all his comments regarding the infamous Newlands saga and all other WPRFU negotiations.
Marais recently had a virtual interview with @rugby365com contributor Angus Opperman – a self-proclaimed ‘massive’ fan and freelance reporter.
In the broad-gauged interview, Marais addressed everything from ‘fake news’ in the media, the ‘inconsistent’ performances of the Stormers/WP team, the Remgro/Investec saga, the ongoing fight with Flyt and the move to the Cape Town Stadium.
However, following a meeting between Marais and the Board of Western Province Professional Rugby (WPPR), the President has been advised to withdraw his comments with immediate effect.
WPPR official statement read that they “do not believe that the comments in question were appropriate, nor do serve the interests of WPPR and rugby in the Western Province in any positive way,”

Statement by Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool, Chairperson of WPPR, on the
interview conducted by the President of the WPRFU, Mr Zelt Marais
Following a Management Committee meeting with Mr Zelt Marais, President of the Western Province Rugby Football Union (WPRFU), the Board of Western Province Professional Rugby (WPPR), agree and advise that the comments made by the (WPRFU) President during a recent media interview should be withdrawn entirely, with immediate effect, and an apology issued for any offence they might have caused.
We do not believe that the comments in question were appropriate, nor do serve the interests of WPPR and rugby in the Western Province in any positive way.

In response, Mr Marais expressed remorse and agreed that he should not have said any of the things that he said during that recorded discussion with the journalist. He, therefore, withdrew those remarks in their entirety, without any condition, and apologised for any offence that might have been caused to the people mentioned. Mr Marais also agreed that he will no longer engage the media on the matters under discussion.
In its own understanding of the negotiations of the transactions referred to, and the records thereof, the WPPR Board does not believe there has been any corruption or malfeasance by anybody mentioned, intentionally or not, especially as it relates to financial proposals made to the Clubs of WP.
The Board also refutes any suggestion that Mr Andre van de Veen was not duly appointed or renewed as a member of the Board, or that he was not duly mandated, authorised or requested to engage in the search for an equity partner.
Furthermore, we reiterate that while our impending move from Newlands to Cape Town Stadium may be a bit sad – because of a decades-long history we shall leave behind – it is also an exciting one – for all the growth and expansion possibilities that will come with being based at Cape Town Stadium. It is nevertheless not a move we make with any recriminations or under any duress.

As the WPPR Board, we have all intentions to put measures in place that will minimise, if not entirely eliminate any possibility of a repeat of what recently happened.

Firstly they cannot afford him...Western Province are on the lookout for a world-class flyhalf, and could be willing to explore beyond South African borders.
According to a report on Netwerk24 on Monday, former All Blacks flyhalf Lima Sopoaga is the candidate who could be in the crosshairs as WP target an experienced signing to bolster their backline options.
Secondly...who tf in his right mind would sign any deal with WP/Stormers.....right now.
Thirdly...cant they develop their own vokken talent at WP.........Do other unions have to buy all their players to give them a proper enviroment and coaching.
Fourthly....Where tf is Wunderkind....the RWC medal winning flyhalf....

Here's hoping the streeptruie regain their mojo fast. SA rugby needs a firing WP.
Loved this vid which popped up on my facebook. I had forgotten just how good Naas was. Also laughed at Michael du Plessis who kneed his opponent in the face after scoring in the corner. Actually grabbed him by the hair and kneed him in the chops. He really was a stroppy bastard. We did have some really sociopathic players in those days.
I was quite interested in tackling techniques, which seemed to be either around the waist or lower or flying stiffarm/clotheslines to the head. A lot of the players would be considered to have dad bods by todays standards

Stomps players not getting paid at home, so looking elsewhere for a salary. They're probably cheap as chips at the moment and that's why they're being snapped up in Durban or UK.

Augustus never really kicked on as much as I thought he would. Northern mud should suit his power game. Hope he comes right. I see Jasper Wiese is absolutely tearing it up in the premiership. I think we're in a fairly good position for a strong defence of our title in '23. Some good talent out there.
Ja. Trokkie (as he likes to be called) has been a bit underwhelming when considering how the "Premier " posters hyped him up.FalseBayFC wrote: Mon Feb 15, 2021 3:42 pm Augustus never really kicked on as much as I thought he would. Although I agree on one thing...a premium poster doesn't need to let everyone know...give him time Chilli...he will mature into the role...

REACTION: World Cup-winning Springbok captain Siyamthanda Kolisi has opened up about his impending departure from Newlands.
Kolisi, in the wake of the much-publicised announcement that he is to part ways with Western Province after an 11-year journey, decided to pen an open letter to the franchise’s fans.
Titled ‘Eleven years. A lifetime of gratitude.’, Kolisi said he was “forever indebted” for the opportunity afforded to him.
He shares his gratitude, his ‘biggest regret’ and expressing excitement over new opportunities.
He does not confirm the much-rumoured move to the Sharks, but goes on to thank all the coaches he worked under at Newlands.

Saw through the grapevine he had a braai last night with all the WP players. Probably promise them American Shark contracts.
