Ironically, it's Galthie. The test appears inconclusive and so another is being done. All players tested -ve but, of course, are now all in isolation.

That you Mrs JMK?
Looking serious
From another place!
From another place!
This contamination is likely to become something big.
Galthie, Servat and member of the staff are positive. A number of players had small viral loads meaning they have been contaminated but the virus hasn't developed enough to trigger the tests.
They now know the origin of this contamination. Galthie brought in the Sevens players to take part in training with the XV squad. We now know that at least 6 of these players are positive and France Sevens just pulled out of the Madrid tournament.
This is a total mess. This also means France did not respect the "closed bubble" concept... and France may have contaminated Ireland for good measures...

So far after the 3rd test, none of the EDF players have been tested positive On the radio they said that it might be the 7 players who contaminated Galthié.
No further positive test in 15 squad (I believe they are tested every 2 days) however the 7 squad is forfeit for a 7's tournament in Spain.SaintK wrote: Fri Feb 19, 2021 10:00 amCut and pasted from a PR post by one of the French regularsMarylandolorian wrote: Thu Feb 18, 2021 7:35 pmWho the F... wrote that ?

The French management showing it's ineptitude (Serge Simon) they have Marcoussis to isolate easily but no we go in alpes maritimes (Currently the worse affected covid area in France).
And then Screw up the bubble by bringing the 7's squad into the fold...
Spot on!!!Marylandolorian wrote: Fri Feb 19, 2021 2:46 pm ^
Don’t know who had the idea to bring the 7 guys, but he deserves the Darwin Award.
Lol, I’ve not been there once since NPR started, but I guess it might be thefrog, the “French” who always starts some type of scoops or controversies when it comes to French rugby, cycling etc...SaintK wrote: Fri Feb 19, 2021 10:00 amCut and pasted from a PR post by one of the French regularsMarylandolorian wrote: Thu Feb 18, 2021 7:35 pm

You haven't missed much. A lot of threads are virtually unreadable and even the interesting ones seem to descend into rabid shit fights
If he has not got it, there is 2/3rd of the team results still missing

I don't believe he has practiced medecine in a long while and is likely as competent there as he was when performance manager.
Sorry, it was a poor attempt at levity on my part, it's a pretty shit situation.
FFR is Managed by cunts and a crook. So not much sympathy from me (just pissed off) PS surprised the French Sport minister has not even piped up.Tichtheid wrote: Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:26 am

No way this game would be going ahead in the Prem with so many positive cases in the squad. Will be interesting to see whether they call it here.
Would not in top 14 either 1-2 cases are enough to get postponmentMargin__Walker wrote: Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:34 am No way this game would be going ahead in the Prem with so many positive cases in the squad. Will be interesting to see whether they call it here.

Yep, which seems prudent. I just can't see it going ahead as it seems such a widespread outbreak. Must be similar to what happened to Fiji in the autumn.laurent wrote: Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:37 amWould not in top 14 either 1-2 cases are enough to get postponmentMargin__Walker wrote: Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:34 am No way this game would be going ahead in the Prem with so many positive cases in the squad. Yes they tried a sanitary bubble however once the covid is in the bubble you're screwed.Margin__Walker wrote: Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:48 amYep, which seems prudent. You would think there is a bit of pressure behind the scenes from Scottish government as well given both their relatively strict stance and that they have been giving it out to football.Margin__Walker wrote: Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:48 amYep, which seems prudent. All the money you made will never buy back your soul
Yeah, same here. It's always my favourite game of the tournament, especially when we can actually attend games. And 1 guest wrote: Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:46 am This is shit. I hope all the players are OK and the game goes ahead.
So I squares up, casual like.
Five more positive tests in the French camp.

Has to be called off, surely. Anyone who's been in contact with those five could be infected, which is the whole squad.

And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
France have called five replacements in to the squad to replace the covidees
All that is missing from the statement is the "Bof" and the shrug.Gaëtan BARLOT (0 sélection, Castres Olympique), Thierry PAIVA (0 sélection, Union Bordeaux Bègles), Cyril CAZEAUX (0 sélection, Union Bordeaux Bègles), Baptiste PESENTI (2 sélections, Section Paloise) et Thomas RAMOS (14 sélections, Stade Toulousain) sont sélectionnés pour rejoindre le groupe France ce lundi 22 février.

TBH, if Couilloud was fit, I'd not be overly concerned with the loss. All sides need to be able to cope with the loss of a key player. But this probably means Serin starts which is as bad as having Youngs.clive wrote: Sun Feb 21, 2021 4:34 pm Dupont is your biggest loss, best player in the world right now.
