6 nations 2021 Scrum down in the lockdown
I really don't want to stick up for him but he had a point.
I don't think he does. His team could have been set for a penalty.
Nah, not when the ref has told you to talk to your team. You've got to give them a chance to do so.
I agree, if you choose to bring on a massive entourage of water boys, coaches, subs, then deal with it

Farrell needs to be careful with how he talks to referees. I know they will deny it, but I'm certain that different captains get reputations in referee's circles - and then the odd good point he makes will be dismissed without really being listened to as "just him crying again". It's not just what he's saying, but how he's going about saying it

And again. I wholeheartedly agree, he adds a lot to the team, but I'm increasingly of a mind that it doesn't outweigh the territory and possession his penalties cost us.Slick wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:03 pm Itoje is a very good player but the endless fawning over him does seem to cover some serious issues.
13 minutes, 3 penalties a knock on and a charge down

All I can say is
You see, when you have a gobbie sh*te like Farrell p*ssing off the ref, you risk the marginals going against you.

That's absolutely jokeshop.
Game over now, England simply do not overhaul leads, let alone ones in double figures.

As soon as he lost control off his hands forwards it's a knock on unless he somehow regathers?
Once you lose control of ball forward, you have to regain control of it don’t you?Insane_Homer wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:21 pmit went backwards off his leg.Saint wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:20 pm Holy shit. Can someone show me in the law book how that's not a knock on?

Yep, that's how I understand it. Certainly how the law seems to be applied usually.Saint wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:22 pmInsane_Homer wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:21 pmit went backwards off his leg.Saint wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:20 pm Holy shit. Makes a change for the knock on decisions to go against Eng.A knock-on occurs when a player loses possession of the ball and it goes forward, or when a player hits the ball forward with the hand or arm, or when the ball hits the hand or arm and goes forward, and the ball touches the ground or another player before the original player can catch it.
Yeah, he might get another pass one day.

Welsh kicking around the breakdown is abject.
Ambiguous. It doesn't appear to cover it going backwards off another part of the body. I know that referees will call a knock on if you lose control but somehow manage to hack it forward thou as it wasn't a deliberate kickTorquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:27 pmYes.Saint wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:22 pm

I don’t know the answer but have they treated it as a normal kick? You throw it forward, never have control then kick itYmx wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:22 pmOnce you lose control of ball forward, you have to regain control of it don’t you?Insane_Homer wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:21 pmit went backwards off his leg.Saint wrote: Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:20 pm Holy shit.
