Now that was a bullshit penalty. Earl fell over, got up and won it...

Wrong call, but you can't overturn that. Some of the French 'turnovers' were like that too, but weren't checked.

And you lose by knocking on when not looking at what you're doing.
Good game, still feel like there are some cracks being papered over. If France had showed an ounce of ambition in the last 20 minutes they could have done it.

France always choke. Most mentally weak country in world rugby.

I found that truly bizarre. I have never, ever seen anything like that reversed.Lemoentjie wrote: Sat Mar 13, 2021 6:28 pm Wrong call, but you can't overturn that. Some of the French 'turnovers' were like that too, but weren't checked.

That pen reversal was bizarre. He did make the wrong call initially, but I don't think I've ever seen a reversal for a technical offence after it's been shown on the big screen.
You could be doing that at a good proportion of pen decisions that are made at the ruck.
Anyway. Good win. Happy with that

Yep I agree was just a moment of passion.
A couple of the French ruck pens were dubious too BTW.

Yes it was obvious but refs and TMOs simply do not reverse those decisions. That's what was strange about it.Insane_Homer wrote: Sat Mar 13, 2021 6:30 pmit was as clear and obvious as it gets. dived in, missed the ball, was on his knees and elbows.

Not learning really. Same as the Autumn: if you go away from a plan that is working to trying to defend the game out, you'd better have enough of a lead to do it.
Harsh to pick on Dulin but that drop kick epitomised where Fra heads were in the 2nd half. Loads of space to run into but keep kicking (badly) to the Eng back 3. Dupont went from incisive running to all kicks or dithering. Fickou saw practically nothing in offence at 12.
Eng were far braver in continuing to try to play even when they were making errors.

Want to say congrats England but vok me their players arrogance haven't change since 2019 WC final.
So hard luck Allez de Bluer. By far the best team.

I must be a right negative bastard these days. Quins infuriate me nearly every time they play, and I thought England were the usual cack outside the first 20 minutes. I did find myself wondering late on how England were only 4 points behind because France looked comfortably the better side to me. The enjoyment dwindled pretty quickly after the awesome opening.Random1 wrote: Sat Mar 13, 2021 6:31 pm Really enjoyed that.
Malins did well enough to keep the spot, which is great.
Billy was throwing himself about a bit, so looked decent.
Nice to see some attacking pattern too. We looked decent on the front foot.
I’d have given MoM to maro.

Great game, and England's second half meant they deserved it. France must know how it feels to be Scottish
There were at least two French turnovers/penalties where they put hands on the floor first, and both were clear on the replay. It’s a nonsense to reverse a penalty for that.Margin__Walker wrote: Sat Mar 13, 2021 6:31 pm That pen reversal was bizarre. Ah, chill out - your team has mega potential. Lose this, teach your players a lesson about winning the last 20 and you’ll be grand slamming next year.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Mar 13, 2021 6:33 pm Not learning really. Love France being back in the frame - missed them.
6 nations is a great tournament.

Yeah, apart from that kick out in the full, he had a superb game.
That break down the blindside on his own, coupled with kicking the ball straight out, was a thing of beauty.

Echo the Youngs flavoured humble pie. His best game for years

Oh, and most of all - it was really important for England to win this considering they chose to run rather than take the kick first option.
If we played ball and lost, Eddie would have been justified in saying “see, told you running loses games”
This is an important game fir England.

Please describe what their ‘arrogance’ was beyond daring to win the gameOomStruisbaai wrote: Sat Mar 13, 2021 6:33 pm Want to say congrats England but vok me their players arrogance haven't change since 2019 WC final.

I'm his biggest critic. By miles. But I always call it as I see it and he played well.

Am going to complain about 2 decisions though because they mattered in the end on the board
1) Brace calls Maul and then penalises Fra for lying on the wrong side when the maul goes down. It's a maul, not a tackle. No-one has to move away anywhere.
2) The pen against Ollivon at the lineout was an equal joke although that came from the TJ to Brace.
