Yes, agreed. I am of the same opinion. At least 8 legs. But course width takes away from local (spectator fleet) viewing, and also in AKL the size of the harbour. I agree it would be good, but I can at least see why that doesn't happen. In the old days in Freemantle and SD, there was no course boundary. They would sail out to wherever and back if they wanted. That would be my main complaint of the whole gig - Simply not enough racing. They could do well to extend the prada cup, or somehow have the home team involved that doesn't skew results. Just more action all round.
I am completely 'wowed' by them. I had raced those same waters for years but never seen a spectacle like this out there. I'm old but loving the new tech.
