I had my first jab yesterday morning. Felt a little achy late evening so dosed myself with beer and ibuprofen. Felt fine this morning and went out for a bike ride. YMMV.

Anecdotal evidence I have seen is that women seem to react worse than men to the AZ jab. Many birds have aches, upset tummy and feel flu-like the day after. Maybe HRT related?

My male friends have had virtually no symptoms.

I was very ill after the AZ vaccine. My sister and mother were unaffected... two male mates were also badly affected... apparently the older you are, the less side effects...

I also see that the USA have finally agreed to do something with their AZ stockpiling, "loaning" 4 million doses to Mexico and Canada. I suspect that Ursula is in cloud cuckoo if she thinks any of that stockpile will make it across the Atlantic

Anecdotally that's what I have found. I have a couple of friends who were flattened for 2-3 days by the 1st dose of AZ and I don't know anybody who had a big reaction to 1st dose Pfizer. My parents got Pfizer a while back and are due for their second jab soon - I'll see what happens.

I hope it's remembered and the techniques and policies held in place. Should something similar come along, it's at a pace where the population could be fully first dose vaccinated, before requiring the second dose (with a similar dosing regime).

Supply will always be the issue, as we're now seeing. As with everything of this nature, we'll probably keep the knowledge and investments for a generation or so, then start scaling it back to spend the money on more politically popular measures

I think they will. They have run out of excuses not to and there are now plenty of expensive, US made vaccines available for their own population.
