We did the same thing the JdV was captain and playing poorly. Did the same with Kolisi when he was under pressure.
I'm sure we'll be told what a great experience this competition has been for EP and how their players have grown.

You lot worries me. You don't like the term PoC but criticize SARU for actually trying to develop black players in the EP catchment areas.Chilli wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 9:05 amWhat are the levels of patheticness?assfly wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 3:57 amChilli wrote: Sun Mar 28, 2021 2:23 pm The commentators are so fucking biased towards the Elephant's.

I think they are taking aim at the paternalistic attitude of some commentators towards EP. It's belittling, even if said with good intentions. Just be straight and say where they can improve. You don't need to clap for 1 skip pass like it's kids rugby.

Probably clapping because the EP player passed with his hands instead of his foot like everyone else.Lemoentjie wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 10:16 am You don't need to clap for 1 skip pass like it's kids rugby.

The commentators obvious try to boost EP, understanding the importance of developing black players.Chilli wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 10:22 amWTF are you on about?OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 10:10 amYou lot worries me. EP don't need commentators blowing smoke up their backsides when their players manage to do the bare minimum expected from a pro rugby team.OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 11:59 am The commentators obvious try to boost EP, understanding the importance of developing black players.
They need competent management and coaches and development funds to be utilized responsibly but passionate, honest administrators.
Beyond that it's all theater and nothing of substance.
Players and fans know the commentators are full of shit...as this thread proves.
So we must all just pretend that getting shafted week after week is just part of development and everything is fine?OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 11:59 am The commentators obvious try to boost EP, understanding the importance of developing black players.

Do you think you know more then them about developing young players?Blake wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 12:24 pmEP don't need commentators blowing smoke up their backsides when their players manage to do the bare minimum expected from a pro rugby team.OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 11:59 am The commentators obvious try to boost EP, understanding the importance of developing black players.

Kak man. Get proper (honest) administrators in the boardroom, a coaching team that is good with setting up a team (Dawie Theron?) and structures and a mixture of young, talented boys and a few hardebaarde. This will lead to a team which won't be ashamed of their results week after week. Yes, they might not win the CC, but they will not embarrass themselves.OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 12:52 pmYes. How many times did Mapimpi got vok over playing for Amathole (Border). Calm down Oom, you get a lot of leeway here - don't be a tool and get banned.
Look you won't find argument from me that sport is farked here in Province. Our cricket is a complete joke. Covid has played its part but in general.....sheets.....
The only efficient organization is the KFC mini cricket.
I feel desperately sorry for the kids...end of this year my older son will have to leave his club of 4 years and search for a new club. His club Sunningdale doesn't have enough players to make up an under 14/15 side. The schools in the area are not promoting cricket and the teacher/ coaches at schools have no experience of the game. The most prestigious school for cricket in the area , Milnerton high is looking for kids to make up their sides...in years before there used to be a first all the way to fifth side in each age group. Now Milnerton ( where De Allende and Daniel Vickerman went ), is struggling to field a second team. The clubs are grabbing up whatever players they can get there hands on. Its all falling apart. There is no oversight at the schools and sport is not being encouraged. The private schools are the worst.

Sport should be a choice and not compulsory at school. If you want to play rugby, go join a club where a trained and qualified coach can coach you. Not just Mr Smith the grade 2 Maths teacher.

They are not developing it. They are just putting people in a team and letting them play against better teams that are better coached with better admin.OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 4:07 pmVok I try to compliment SARU for developing black rugby talents from EP.
Since when is that racist?
There's a massive difference.
Springboks, Stormers and WP supporter.
So this is the new attack on Sards...to call me a stoner....
Quite pathetic really...
my usage is very little at a time...like I have mentioned on numerous occassions...
I substitute it for pills....as a pain reliever and energy booster....I cant stand putting chemicals in my body.
If I didn't do it the natural way like I am I would permanently be on Myprodol.....My body is old and wearing out more and more each year.
Besides the obvious....I am very innovative and a" go getter " that takes big chances and works hard to make it a success.
My wifes shop which we opened at the peak of Covid when everyone else was shitting their pants and wondering where to next has shown 12 percent growth every month until this month where she has grown by a staggering 25%........that is a phenomenal growth. She has already had 2 offers to buy her out and a new offer which we are still discussing after a meeting yesterday to take on a partner to grow the franchise. That is not the behaviour of a stoner. I have had numerous offers in the last few months to have Steel-line absorbed into bigger companies that ultimately want to shut it down and buy my experience...even if I am known as the " Hippie of the Industry ". Like I said to the bloke we met with yesterday....I don't owe anything on any of our ventures as I have built them with cash so to sell would just be silly......Besides which...Between us my wife and I employ 22 staff which is a big responsibility because the majority of those staff members are the sole bread winners in the family and have been with us from the beginning .How many of you are responsible for 22 families substinance.
so rather look at my achievements than at my open usage of Cannabis for its medicinal properties.
There is a stereotype of Stoners who get so zonked that they are non productive members of the community.
There are also those that care about their bodies and prefer not to put man made chemicals into their systems , and are intelligent enough to manage it.
So A BIG FU CK YOU to you and all the others that prefer to paint me as a stoner to make yourself feel better about yourselves.
