TRANS-TASMAN Super Rugby 2021 - ITS AUNZ!
Damn shame, he was easily the ABs' best player last year.
I guess either Ardie or Whitelock will be an adequate replacement skipper for a short while, though.
He did play well last year. But just not an AB skipper

Funny, but that's exactly how I feel about Whitelock . Fantastic player but too many brainfarts - NZs version of Dylan HartleyHe did play well last year. But just not an AB skipper
I drink and I forget things.
Yep, he's one of our finest ever locks, but not really captaincy material. There's just no getting past his costly discipline issues.Enzedder wrote: Thu Apr 01, 2021 8:19 pmFunny, but that's exactly how I feel about Whitelock . I meant not an AB skipper because his teams lose - a lot.Enzedder wrote: Thu Apr 01, 2021 8:19 pmCane is from Bay of Plenty, numbnutsstemoc wrote: Thu Apr 01, 2021 9:11 am AB's have the worst captain and the worst coach ever...oddly both from the same shit province .. no wonder saffer trolls here walk around like they own rugby now..

Fantastic effort by the Highlanders. They were clearly the better team on the night. What a luxury to have Fakatava and Smith sharing halfback. And then Mitch Hunt owning Mo'unga - didn't see that coming! Havili is in outstanding form, but that was the worst game I've ever seen Will Jordan play.
It’s crazy to have 2 world class half backs in one club.Gumboot wrote: Fri Apr 02, 2021 8:11 am Fantastic effort by the Highlanders. They were clearly the better team on the night. Wow! Just browsing the web after a busy day and saw the Crusaders-Highlanders score. Had to get onto utoob to see it.
2 things. If you watched the game live was it as much a demolition as the scoreline says?
I miss Ali......

If you have the Webb Ellis in your cupboards you can talk as much shit as you like for four yearsstemoc wrote: Thu Apr 01, 2021 9:11 am AB's have the worst captain and the worst coach ever...oddly both from the same shit province .. no wonder saffer trolls here walk around like they own rugby now..
IIRC, he played at second five 2~3 years ago and was distinctly average, but he looks made for the position now.Gumboot wrote: Sat Apr 03, 2021 4:58 am Must admit I've always rated Havili as an excellent fullback but just an average second five, but his last few games at 12 have completely changed my mind. Even last night in a losing team, he was terrific.
Yep, I reckon he's close to the form midfielder in the country at the moment.Kiwias wrote: Sat Apr 03, 2021 6:29 amIIRC, he played at second five 2~3 years ago and was distinctly average, but he looks made for the position now.Gumboot wrote: Sat Apr 03, 2021 4:58 am Must admit I've always rated Havili as an excellent fullback but just an average second five, but his last few games at 12 have completely changed my mind. Now that we're past the halfway mark of Supe Aotearoa I was wondering what everyone's form side is, so far...
