I'm pretty sure I had it a couple of weeks ago. Rough night with a fever and body aches, then a few days of general fatigue and back pain. Finished with a head-cold and I'm fine now.
Tests are so bloody expensive I didn't take one.
There's still regular flu that can match those symptoms. Last spring I got quite ill and thought my streak of avoiding covid had come to an end, but the three tests I took across a couple of days were negative, it was normal flu making me feel dreadful.
Thought I might have got it for the first time, or at least a first symptomatic infection, last month. Tested negative for COVID but positive for mono, which wasn't great.

Yeah, im not reading that link and going throught all that shit, but a bit unfair to pick out jm2k6. IIRC most posters on here were bed wetters that wanted to increase restrictions for Omicron. Lots of use of the then buzzword "precautionary principle"

Eh? It was demonstrating how much people were pushing for keeping the country in perpetual lockdown.
Re JM:
No, I was genuinely wondering where JM was? Actually a bit worried about him. Despite how we post, I have met him personally, and care if he is ok. Hopefully he’s just taking some time out.

So tell me about your personal experience of dealing with COVID deaths. Having worked on ITU at the height of COVID I suspect your experiences were a bit divorced from the reality of the situation.

Speaking of conspiracy theories - it does now genuinely look like it was a lab leak from the Wuhan labs. Surprised that the UK media hasn't really reported on it.

There is a shredded trail of emails between the Wuhan lab and the US. Very much a lab cock up is the most likely obviously can never be 100%.

I remember that, the chief witness at that Republican led Congressional hearing is now claiming that SARS COV 2 originated in the US and was "
intentionally engineered as a part of a biodefense program by the U.S." I still think a good old fashioned zoonotic spill over that probably happened outside the lab, probably in the Wuhan wet market, is the most likely cause

There's a new virus called
Coronavirus. It originated in a lab in Chyna and was engineered to make us all wear masks and become slaves.
