That sort of thing should go back to being a 22 drop out rather than goal line.

How is POM allowed to drag the scrum half into the maul.

Do our forward go on the pitch with earplugs in? Barnes makes it clear what he’s watching for and we proceed to do exactly that and get pinged. Fucking stupid.

We’ve been doing it for decades too, it’s just it used to be matched up with very little talent so it wasn’t noticed.

Well, I expected nothing from this game and I feared a tanking. As it progressed I started to think that not coughing up a BP would be a decent outcome. So naturally we do that with the last play of the game.

Yes. We did have a period where the discipline improved - a year or two. I’m not sure, but I suspect it may have coincided with Vern Cotter being the coach. Prior to his appointment I was saying a coach like that was exactly what we needed, and guess what, it still is.

Sorry, struggle to see the relevance of that comment. Expected Ireland to win and not surprised at the result, just from a rugby point of view, Ireland are a better, more consistent team than France.

He was good for the majority of the match but I thought he lost the plot a bit at the end. Didn't penalise Ireland for not retreating 10, allowed POM to drag the SH into a maul. Penalised the pick and drive when they did exactly what he instructed them to do and then allowed POM to jump into the tackle. Consistency has always been his problem,
