It’s almost as if I didn’t actually post that a whole day ago, just two posts back in the thread.

Nothing says casual approach like reviewing an incident and strengthening protocols.

What combo would you have preferred?
Papaili to start at 7 for my money, he's the best this year in that position.
That puts Cane in at 6 because god forbid we drop a captain and he goes alright there, whereas I don't like Scott Barrett anywhere near the back row...
and Sotutu should be in at 8. Ardie's not suited to playing 8 in my view, he's better at 7 or off the bench to cover.

Where's Sotutu?
This 'ere post by GS is pretty much exactly what I think. I nearly dropped my fucking beer last night when I saw who was at 6 (thank god I didn't though). Before team selection I was 60% sure we got this. Now I'd be lucky to get near 40%. Foster you twat.
While Foster can be blamed for many things, I don't think it's his fault Ioane's under an injury cloud and Papali'i's recently had appendicitis.

It is his fault he picked the squad he did, but with that squad the loosie mix is about as good as it could be. Barrett may not be ideal at 6, but he's a lot better than the alternatives (Ioane?, Sowakula?) It'd be good to play a proper 8 and have Savea off the bench, but anybody who watched the soup final would know Sotutu is not (yet) that 8. He'd give it his best, but that best is not yet up to international standards.

Don't think I've ever felt this pessimistic going into the first test of the year.

O’Gara shocked at the lack of crusader representation in the starting line up.

Covid has affected it (3 in back line), but partly he’s right, with R Mo, Cullen Grace, etc.

Here we go.

Ireland need to throw the kitchen sink at the AB's from the get go...win this and they will put real doubts into them. If Ireland win this test, i think they win the series.

They could have at least got someone who can sing to do the anthem.

The blokes in beanies looking shifty are not as bad as what my Grandad would have called the Tittering Aggie doing the Irish one. Though my five year old just announced “that was complete crap”

The AB forwards look a bit soft and off the pace. They Irish are completely dominating them in the contact area and aggressiveness.

Irish need to keep composure. They win a turnover then dumb attempt to kick by number 8 was it? Next play, try to ABs.

What a chase from Dan Sheehan! Unreal!

Sexton went down and as usual started holding his head. He'll be at the ref, maybe some more hysterics to try and have the tmo have a look.

Well, most of us could have typed that without even watching the game.
