Number 10 - DMac had a horrible first half. But was this because he had no platform? He had to play very deep all the time as had barely any front foot ball. He kicked the ball badly and aimlessly. Missed touch on a penalty, kick the ball dead, sliced into the centre of the field when there was loads of space to aim for. His running was headless and offered nothing to those outside him. He killed any hope of fluidity or a platform in the backs.
Yup, I really like DMac but he was absolute piss bar some nice little runs. No excuses, it's all on him.

Cane was anonymous and comfortably outplayed by his opposite number.

Yeah not disputing DMac played badly first half... just saying that the forwards were so poor it didn't give him much of a platform to work off... and agree some of his kicks were awful... just hope this performance doesn't reappear at the World Cup.. if it does, it probably means our forwards are under pressure and Richie Mounga is injured...

As for Cane. The less said the better... I'm not a big fan, and something is wrong if your captain is hooked with ten minutes to go and the game in the balance... I wonder if his neck is still troubling him...

They're not taking this seriously. That's what it means when the Boks are spinning it this much, taking this many 50/50 options, there was even a kick pass out wide which was immediately kick passed back inside to a player that was offside. Boks got on top of the Pumas early on, then got windgat and took too many risks. Now we're down when we probably had the better of that half, went over the line twice with no try.

They need to tighten it up and get conservative, get Andre at 12 into the game more instead of cutting him out which Libbok is doing every time he passes.

This is why Libbok cannot be the starting flyhalf in any must win pressure games. Unless there is another kicker playing as well. You never know if the 10% or 80% kicker is going to turn up. Just cannot rely on him to get us the points in a close game.

I think we have a better chance from the lineout than with Libbok's kicking today. Percentage wise the lineouts were doing better

In a tight game against Ireland, France or the All Blacks, maybe even Scotland we cannot give hime time for 60 minutes to figure out how to kick. By then we we will have lost the game.
