A choke tackle reffed properly? Good job I’m sitting down

Eish, that miss by Willemse is going to bite is. It really hurts not having a 80% kicker.

Not sure about that. Is it ok if I take out somebody in the air as long as it’s under control?

Murray's service would be faster if he didn't initially appeal for a penalty at every breakdown.

Was noticeable in the last passage that at points you had three or four Irish players whining at the ref rather than playing

No. No one is talking about it being okay and that's not remotely what's being argued. But the level of recklessness does have an impact on the level of sanction. If you tackle someone in the air but there's a measure of control, you're not going to get a red.

The winger had time to put out and arm and was lowered to the floor(yes, largely head first) rather than driven hard or dumped. It makes a difference to the level of danger, and this the colour of the card.

Can't fault the enthusiasm but Willemse is going to seriously hurt himself or someone else in a tackle if he keeps flying in upright like that

Boks doing well to soften up the Irish with some brutal hits, but the Irish are weathering it well.

Lood and Murray off.

Could get tricky for the Boks now that JGP comes on to lift the tempo.

Obviously sucks for Murray, but this change should help Ireland. Even when the ball's available he's just not giving it quick enough.

Fucked his shoulder in in the RWC final and it's just never come right again despite multiple surgeries.

2 kickable penalties not taken by the Boks, and 1 miss. That's 9 points we've left on the field so far.

Should've been advantage over I agree.

Immaterial at the end of the day though. Would just have been a Bok likeout 5m out on the other side of the field.

Bom squad will be important. No team can equal the Boks rush defense. Hope they keep it up. Jesse Kriel have been excellent.
