My neighbour asked me if I still drink, I said "well maybe on occasion"..and she gave me a bottle of whiskey last week.
Grant's, whiskey.
Looked expensive, not sure if it is.
Drinking a whole bottle of whiskey in a week is not a good move.
Maybe I'm a lightweight, but I find it really helps with stress and probably sanitised the mouth from any of those nasty deadly particles that are around now.
Or maybe I have turned into a rationalising alcoholic after one bottle.

I'm heading down to Durban this afternoon for a game of hockey.
It's a two-hour drive from Nottingham Road, so I'll stay overnight at the Queensmead grounds where they have very basic accommodation.
Should be good for a few beers after the game and then drive back tomorrow morning.

Queensmead is in Umbilo. It's a shitehole.
Doesn't distract from the fact that I had an enjoyable game and a few after-game pots.sorCrer wrote: Fri Mar 05, 2021 9:46 am‘tsek wrote: Fri Mar 05, 2021 3:39 amNow that sounds like trouble. Yuck boets, drinking too much red wine to the point of vomiting does not sound like a good time.
I can drink beer for a very long time, taking several car trips, with no problems due to how familiar my body is with processing said beverage.
Only when I am about to call it quits of an evening do I turn to other beverages such as red or white wine, or the occasional spirit.
And then only a few.

Yeah, I generally stick to lager, don't normally drink spirits, but do enjoy the occasional glass of red...Jimmy Smallsteps wrote: Fri Mar 05, 2021 12:53 pm Yuck boets, drinking too much red wine to the point of vomiting does not sound like a good time.

My Mrs got 60 and de Wet hit me with charge office coffees.

I wanted to get drunk this past weekend. Rugby is to blame.
After a couple of 4 finger branners and shots out of what looked like small soup bowls the helicopter engine started up . That was me done. I know that chopper. It's all fun and games till you need to land that bastard.

Bit broos this morning.

Byt die slang wat jou gepik het. Gooi brandewyn en Coke saam met brekvis.
Springboks, Stormers and WP supporter.
Sunday was a perfect day in Gqeberha.
We went to the Noirdhoek Ski Boat Club for a braai. The bar is pretty cheap.
After a few beers they became a bit sour, so in a moment of weakness I was bought a double vodka, lime & lemonade.
Needless to say I left their rather De Wet Barry with my darling wife driving me home.
