Better than season 1 imho. I found the different time lines in season 1 confusing, but apart from that I think the characters develop very nicely in season 2, with a proper WTF? reveal at the end.

Me and the missus are enjoying it. I've not read the books because it's an umpteen thousand page commitment, but for me the show despite being a bit cliched scratches the epic fantasy itch.

Enjoying the Dexter reboot. I only lasted to Season 4 of the original. Not many shows are any good after the fourth season imo.

Working through it. Pretty good watch so far.
For anyone familiar with the Vereena + Nivellen, the show has done it quite well. Vereena is proper freaky.

Watched the first episode last night. Thought it was excellent, nivellen cast really well and vereena was done fantastically.

Been a while since I read the books but the main story arc has deviated from the books hasn't it? Looking forward to binging the rest when this set of shifts is finished.

Its on Sky on the Drama channel. But can download all seasons apart from season five for some reason.

It's quite light hearted. Don't expect anything complex

Trouble with the books that the fanatics don't seem to want to acknowledge is how dated they are, especially with their lack of nuance to good/evil.
Can you actually say "darkfriend" with a straight face these days?

GRRM has his issues but he was excellent at creating characters who existed on a spectrum rather than simply "you bad, me good".
The Witcher writer is very good at this also. The royals in his books are total c*nts but they are doing it for a reason.

I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but I really enjoyed the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett. Temuera Morrison stars as the titular character.

The Silent Sea, another Korean series on Netflix, i think the best of the lot so far.

It verges on a teen drama but I started watching Friday Night Lights a few months ago. Absolutely superb, if only for the performances of Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton.

I didn't go mad for it on first sight, but on reflection thought it was pretty good.

The Ray Harryhausen monster was really cool, and I like the idea that Fett is still nowhere near his best, needing to be dumped in the bacta tank after strenuous exertions.

I loved Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice, LA Law etc. The favourite TV show was a family gathering, streaming has changed that completely. Friday 8pm was always a Western serial. The High Chapparal was my favourite it was aired in SA probably around 1979, years after its US release.

Also on the Netflix and easy to get stuck in the series.

We like the Turkish suspense mafia seriesse. Been watching the Club, next season out tomorrow

It was hugely entertaining. I got notes of Dances with Wolves and Tom Cruise from the Last Samurai. Its interesting to think that most Millennials and Gen Z's won't pick up the various nods to the Western genre.

Definitely and literally Dances With Tuskens, although Fett is shown to be bringing new ideas rather than the White Guy Beats Noble Natives At Their Own Game After 10 Minutes Study trope (yes, I know Morrison isn't a White Guy).

Can't help but think that should've been the first episode, the first one was so poor by comparison.

They should have done either a double header release (like Hawkeye) or just made the two episodes into the blockbuster show opener, twice as long as a usual episode.

We enjoyed that. Can't beat a good scandi drama.

Not sure it's been mentioned already, but all episodes of the mini-series 'The Tourist' are now on BBC iPlayer.

Fun mix of drama with the randomly absurd, in the mad setting of the Ozzie outback.

Not perfect, but enjoyable and a bit different.

It’s dropped, watched most of it. Only 6 x 30 mins.
It’s regressed back to the I’m miserable, moping, drinking, watching loads of videos of ex wife, and I will be a cunt to everyone.

Will have to watch the last series of 'The Expanse' now the whole series is up - just 6 episodes this time. A pity there are no plans for further series as 'Persepolis Rising' is an interesting read so far ( one third of the way through) but as

Ozark Season 4 kicks off next week. I normally lose interest by season 4 of just about everything I've watched. But I enjoyed the first 3 seasons hugely.
