I didn’t know why the asterisk was there and it was shitting me so I edited it out.Mr Bungle wrote: Mon Feb 21, 2022 9:11 pm
No asterisk? Still looks like you're playing on hard setting?
Yeah, still playing hard.

Second guess was a complete anagram of the word. Jammy
*the word itself isn’t ‘jammy’.
or is it?

So what's everyone's strategy?
Starting word?
Do you go tough option to have to include the right letters?
Or do you throw in something to give you a better chance?..

Playing the hard rules removes some options for me, once a letter is part of the solution it has to be used.TB63 wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 7:51 pm So what's everyone's strategy?

I've settled on a single starting word now that offers a good selection of vowels and consonants. It's surprising sometimes to see how narrow the options are after just one letter comes up. I saw an article in The Conversation on which starting words give a statistically better chance and went with one of those.

The problem with telling and knowing each other’s common starting word, is that it’s a bit of a clue when you see that posters results (top line)!TB63 wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 7:51 pm So what's everyone's strategy?
