Aye. If I complete 27 Mandatory Training Days (including an annual camp and certain training objectives) I get an £1800 bounty on top of the normal pay. You can also get paid to do recruiting or other jobs (med cover for other units on ranges, exercise etc) but it doesn't count towards your MTDs and bounty and obviously deployments.

No idea what you are talking about

Crypto currency mining is how it's made, and you can do it with your home computer if it's good enough. Basically you run a software on your computer, and as long as what your "mining" is worth more than the power, and you aren't degrading the computer, it's worth it.

Surveys are just online questionnaires. You can get paid to do them, so if like me you have spare time and are sat in front of the computer anyway, it a nice easy way to earn a little spending money.

I didn't think you were. In simple terms as I understand it. Each Bitcoin is made up of a unique sequence of code, with set parameters. In order to actually find out all the possible sequences, they have to be calculated. And it becomes harder and harder to calculate as more are discovered. The process of discovering them is called mining. You don't generate a whole bitcoin as it's known, but in little segments, that build upto a whole coin, so you can trade these snippets. The value they have is simply decided on the value they've been given by people, as they are unique tokens that cannot be replicated (don't ask me why not), they can be well used as currency, as well as many other applications (blockchain, which is the tech itself, is what can be used in many circumstances).

CPUs have an order of magnitude less cores than GPUs. The GPU cores aren't as flexible as the CPU cores; but the only thing they need to do well for mining, is integer maths, & they're very good at that.

Or, at least more capability to do so: because most programming doesn't utilise the benefit of parallel because
- it's too hard!
- linear processing has become so fast, only really complex applications would notice the difference

Never really looked at graphics programming and guess then it's the one area which does properly utilise parallel processing?
