For the first time ever this year my hair is thin enough that I've caught the sun on the top of my head. I may have to invest in a hat, but I'm pretty sure I'd look a massive twat in one.

Couple of years ahead of you. I have about a dozen different hats and caps. None of them look good on me.

Sport Pursuit are selling Tilley hats at quite a discount, picked up a navy blue Tilley Cotton Duck hat for 30 quid. Lifetime guarantee and they actually make them in large enough sizes to fit round my breeze-block swede.
They're going quickly so might not be many (or any) left.

A knotted hankie works fine. Looks good with a string vest and braces to hold up your waders.
