DT Cryptic Crossword - Wednesday
What's it like in Osaka FK? Never been to Japan. Somewhere I'm fascinated about.
Long way to sail, anyway my beloved yacht has been sold a while back. Mimosa. The French electrics were terrible. I had it out of the water in the Hamble and took a few weeks completely to rewire it.
You a rugby player? I played 10 all my days. One of the fairies. Not sure who this compiler is. Got "Sparks" in my sights.
Anyway. Do enjoy the cryptics. Thev've been the love of my life (plus music) over many journeys.
I did a couple over the Atlantic. Must relate sometime over a midnight crossing over the English Channel.

Well, Globus, it’s bucketing down with rain at the moment in Osaka. I can’t say I spend too much time in downtown Osaka, especially these days. I live right on the outskirts, actually very beautiful and green, with forested hills around. To give you an idea of how close to the wilds we live, I found a weasel squatting in the engine casing of our car a couple of weeks ago. He had set up a home, with dead birds and all kinds of foul smelling refuse in under the bonnet. He’d been there a couple of weeks before we realized he was there. It cost is a pretty penny for pest control to evict him and then get the engine checked up and cleaned out.Globus wrote: Wed Jul 07, 2021 2:17 am What's it like in Osaka FK? Never been to Japan. I’ve lived here 8 years, and was living 10 years at the base of Mt Fuji before that. I lived in Tokyo for 6 months to start off with.
I was an undistinguished winger and then flanker (6) in my youth. I took up coaching school kids when I became a high school teacher in the late 90s. There was no opportunity to be involved in rugby after I moved to Japan, so I have been a long time out of the game. I assist with the school baseball team here, but came to that sport so late it’s still largely a mystery to me and I am nothing more than a glorified chaperone for tournaments.
I lived by the sea as a lad, pottering about in boats very ineptly, and never becoming an ocean-going sailor. My brother and I did have a small catamaran called a “Windrush” we used to blast around the bay on. Was prone to pitch-poling, especially in the light of our reckless incompetence.
I’m enjoying the cryptic crosswords very much. It’s almost exactly a year since I took it up on here.
Sorry to hear the back’s playing up. Maybe you could ask the Management for a massage?
