Will Mackey (Laporte) finally get his comeuppance?

He's to be tried along with the other crook (Altrad) essentially for bribery. Some of you may recall Laporte's somehow escaping jail for his clearly corrupt involvement in the FACEM scandal of 2010/11:

La question de la juste valeur de ce sponsoring est soulevée : les 4 partenaires officiels des Bleus (GMF, Orange, Société Générale, BMW) s’étaient vu proposer une offre à 9,9 millions d’euros par saison.
If this is true both Laporte and the logo should be removed

Meh, 7 to 10 M€ a year, about 1M€ a game isn’t exactly something to ignore.

It should be no surprise any of the other 3 were involved. Mackey could not have got MH/Altrad's sanctions lifted without sharing some of the bribes with other senior FFR officials. What interests me is the investigation has been going on for 3 years and includes
wire taps. There might actually be some hope these c**ts will finally get nailed...
