I am still working from home so can have one of my screens showing the horses running and jumping. I like to put a little wager on some races but my hit rate of returning any money is extremely poor. So I wondered if anybody was going to post some more insightful tips/bets?

Betting on the nags is notoriously difficult. I find it most fun to pick the runners with zany or clever names, which often has the effect of pulling you away from the favourite and lining your pockets with some paper, on a good day.

Used to go to racing every so often and my mate always bet on the horse with the 'shiny shoes'. He reckoned if trainer went to expense of getting horse reshod for the meeting then it would have a chance - he won more than he lost. Not sure this works with Cheltenham though.

Sounds good to me. If you're lucky enough, also align yourself with a horsey woman who looks at them in the birdcage. They are good at picking the really healthy fuckers, who often enough go on to win.
