Exactly. We had not TV (no need for it in Africa anyway!) but the climate meant no need for stuff like central heating. We just played in the grass with other kids who lived nearby.

As it is largely based on self serving contempt, so as the contempt is self serving, as it serves them to have it, the contempt can never be satiated, no matter what disgusting, inhumane policies they roll out, or no matter what indignity they inflict on people.
They will always need to have the contempt for the poor, sick and unemployed, single mothers etc no matter what they do to them.

Wheel out the harshest welfare reforms in the western world..send millions to foodbanks. Industrialise terrorism through a benefits system.. kill 135 thousand people roll out a devastating bedroom tax, cut and slash benefits, and it won't make a scratch.

As the contempt is self serving, it serves them to have it, so they do.
This is why it should now be made illegal to attack or smear or slander the poor sick and unemployed.

They will "always", no matter what is done to them, have seriously powerful and vile enemies, who they need urgent protection from.
