Drove my family mad playing this soundtrack on a loop for a few months.

With my octogenerian boomer parents its Rieu, Nigel Kennedy, Susan Boyle, the three Tenors, Cliff fudging Richard and oddly enough, Bob Marley.

The soundtrack was the best thing about Alexander.

The tale behind how 1492 died on its arse is interesting enough in terms of pre social media how ideas became set through rumour and bullshit. Prior to release the critics got excited about three 1492 releases: Ridley, the superman people with Brando and Selleck and the Carry on lads. From an early stage in 1991 they lumped them in together. Superman lads one was released summer/ end of summer and bombed as it was shite. Then inexplicably they released 1492 at the same time as Carry on and journos being lazy just did loads of 'and in many ways the Carry on one is superior..nah all the films are shite' titter titter. They should have released 1492 in Feb but they didn't even have it ready for Cannes. Facts are it's not a bad movie at all though you can see he was fearful of the Brando one so chased it a bit

Forgot it was chasing a 1992 release. Explains a bit. It's a bit of a mess but a bit of editing would give you a better filum.

Now Alexander, now there's a soundtrack that deserved a better movie.

The boomer generation is from ‘46 to ‘64. There aren’t yet octogenarian boomers.

I think in the USA at least the baby boom actually started in 1939. Anyway, the dates aren't "fact", people disagree

Same. My mother was born in 1943. My grandpa was in the Allied invasion of Italy at the time. He was demobbed early 1946 and returned when she was 3.

Semantics shmeantics! My Dad has has 3 siblings born after 1946. They all listen to the same music and love Andre Rieu. They Iove the Proms and the Royal Command Gala Performance. They're senior boomers I reckon.
