RIP
He'll always be held in the highest esteem by the Irish, for his courage in 1973, in reaching out to the IRFU, to make sure the match happened that year.

He was in the series winning Lions' team to NZ in 1971, he and Gareth Davies were electric on the wings. He'd played centre for England and switched to wing where he was a revelation. He's part of my earliest rugby memories, my parents took me to a regional game for my 10th birthday. You know how, when you're a kid, those first players you note take on a sort of iconic place in your memories...
RIP to a wonderful player.
