My cat had a fit and jumped a mile in the air last night, and ran off.

Woke me up

Cats are super sensitive to earthquakes.

The epicentre was a few miles down the road.

Out shopping, this morning and was looking under various bridges when passing underneath them for cracks etc, ready to report to the local authority highways, because I am a awesome citizen.

Holy shit, I'm not quite that bad yet.

Have to say, after 33 years living in Australia with no real EQ activity to deal with, I've been startled by a few lately. They're a weird novelty item and I am living in an active seismic area.

3.8 is not an earthquake - we call them tremors.

However, because it was so shallow, those close would have gotten a fright.
I drink and I forget things.

You are forgetting, most of South Wales has deep mines and is basically a honeycomb underground from all the mining.

A earthquake, or even a little tremor could sink the f'king lot, and finally turn Cwm into a lovely boating lake.
