Remember watching that live..Pissing myself laughing..

Then that was it for years in the wilderness for Julian..
I love watching little children running and screaming, playing hide and seek in the playground.
They don't know I'm using blanks..

Sarcasm? I remember going to see him live on the back of it... not on Hampstead Heath mind.. Basingstoke.

The punchline is drowned out by the laughter - "I've just been fisting Norman Lamont..... talk about a red box"

I never did get to see him live, The Joan Collins Fanclub was notorious, you didn't want to be in the front row in case he called on you.

He repeated one of his jokes from back then on daytime tv, he was being interviewed by Holly Willoughby and when she started coughing, Julian says, "Oh you're not well, perhaps you should suck a Fisherman's Friend"

Saw him a couple of times in the Fringe here in Edinburgh. He was notorious and he packed them in, quite rightly as he was hilarious.

A show I remember from around that time was Hank Wangford in a club in the Cowgate, or as the posters had it, "Hankie Goes to Hollyrood, live at the Cowboy Gate. "

Spent New Years 2000 with Julian Clary. Proper nice guy and ridiculously quick witted.

Still think that TV moment is one of - if not the funniest moment of live TV. Just watching Jonathon Ross's reaction is entertaining enough.

David Icke's interview on Wogan was pretty much a career-ending moment, also that BNP twit on Question Time.

Neither as funny as Julian Clary, though.

I cannot stand Redknapp.

Everyone's banter-buddy when he wants something from someone, a grumpy self-centred sod when there's nothing in it for him.
