Essentially lab grown human embryos. Similar animal ones can't develop into full grown foetuses but I'm sure the clever boffins will figure that out soon enough.

Well there's the answer to the projected population downturn and resultant labour force shortages. We're pointed ever more towards total coportocracy and I don't see that slowing down any time soon. Expect this tech to be abused accordingly.
Shit, you'd probably find a bunch of business areas where they'd be welcomed now. Can't get cheap immigrant workers out in the fields any more? No worries, here's a pack of vat grown humans with no rights. Work 'em 'til they fall over and replace with a fresh batch.
