The Prince of Teck in Earl’s Court used to be OK for the rugby. You’re also not far from the Famous Three Kings which normally has a good number of Scots in it

Decent place to watch a game. Four or five TVs, good variety of beer on tap.

Normally I'd be tempted to join you Biffer, but I'm confined to barracks due to others being out.

How so ever, I'll be back living in Bonny Bonny Scotland by the start of next season, so if anyone and everyone fancies a pint and taking in a game, I'll be up for it.

Met some kiwis. Got a bit pissed.

Now I’ve got to fight to get on a train in a couple of hours.

Yeah, The Plan has been in place for some time, it’s time to act on it.

I was at a couple of games at my hometown club a few weeks ago, many of the people I played with are involved with running it now. I’m really looking forward to being part of it all, even if it’s only turning up as a supporter on Saturday afternoons.

Is that Accies?

I’ve got involved with Musselburgh this season as the kids are doing mini rugby there and it’s the nearest club. My wife asked me what I was grinning at last week and I explained it was just feeling part of a rugby club again.

Dunbar.

I got involved with Accies by accident. I moved into a flat on Comely Bank Place at 18 when I was a student, I’d never heard of them but there they were, just across the road from my flat.

I thought you were in Porty?

Musselburgh are a good club 👍

Yup, in Porty, but the two clubs are pretty equal distance from us. Porty has a great reputation as a friendly club but is a concrete clubhouse in the middle of a public park and just preferred the feel of Musselburgh.

I tried to get into Accies when we were in Stockbridge but it has moved on and I didn’t get the old feeling back. Same with Watsonians where most of my friends are involved - I guess at both clubs most of the folk of my generation have known each other for 30 + years so quite difficult to get involved. A few dads from school have got involved at Musselburgh and everyone seems very welcoming

Dropped my eldest at Edinburgh Uni last month. His brother has three years left at school and also wants to go to a Scottish University. At that stage we may need to reassess what’s actually keeping us in Wales, aside from a crumbling old Victorian house we’ll be rattling around in. We also have a flat near Haymarket since last year, and I feel I’ve already got one foot in the old country again…
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Lack of fucking midges...
I love watching little children running and screaming, playing hide and seek in the playground.
