Any recommendations please? There appear to be several Thai, Indian and even a Lebanese down towards Richmond Road....

Not a lot to reccomend in Twickenham though haven't been for a few years.Sandstorm wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 10:58 am So I've got some (overpriced) tickets to Stormers vs Quins in December at 20:00 & my mates and I thought we would get an early supper in Twickenham before the game. So rather than a cheap burger and some beers like we usually do, maybe a sit-down meal in the High Street area at 6pm might be more enjoyable on a cold December Saturday?

Few years since I've been down there as well but from what I remember I'd agree with this.SaintK wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 11:52 amNot a lot to reccomend in Twickenham though haven't been for a few years.Sandstorm wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 10:58 am So I've got some (overpriced) tickets to Stormers vs Quins in December at 20:00 & my mates and I thought we would get an early supper in Twickenham before the game. You might be better looking at Richmond and then walking to the stadium. My son had a decent meal at The Watermans dhich is down near the river. Mighty be worth a Google
Looks good, cheers mate. I'll compare with Richmond choices and see how it goes.Dinsdale Piranha wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 12:02 pmNot quite on the high street but this is the one.Sandstorm wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 10:58 am So I've got some (overpriced) tickets to Stormers vs Quins in December at 20:00 & my mates and I thought we would get an early supper in Twickenham before the game. You've been in the UK too long. Why don't you just braai and fight like the rest of us?

To be fair, the olden days of BBQ's in the West Car Park was a bloody brilliant institutionassfly wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:21 pm A sit down dinner before a rugby match.

The tightening of Drink Driving Laws probably put an end to those days out.
