Not a lot to reccomend in Twickenham though haven't been for a few years.
You might be better looking at Richmond and then walking to the stadium. My son had a decent meal at The Watermans dhich is down near the river. Mighty be worth a Google

The tightening of Drink Driving Laws probably put an end to those days out.
