RIP Nobby

Sad to say, it's probably a relief for his family; the poor guy had Alzheimers for years, & as anyone who's watched this happen, it takes a terrible toll on the family

True, all of that.

My abiding memory of Nobby is him skipping about like a kid sans front teeth.

RIP Nobby. Brought joy to millions - there are not many who can say that.

Agree with you OP, a prototypical hard man footballer of that era, proper working class Mancunian lad. Definitely someone you could relate to.

In addition to his playing career he was also involved in the youth set up at United in the 80s and early 90s.

RIP Nobby.

It’s not quite like that, but your sentiment is right

More sad news - Sir Bobby Charlton has been diagnosed with dementia.

Always loved Sir Bobby, Munich survivor, great footballer and an ambassador for Manchester United and for football as long as he has been retired.
