Isn’t that why Aus did not make the final cut last time?
Didn't know that. Even better!

Wouldn't mind Kane bowling himself for a few overs.

I am not totally certain the docked points were the difference but it made the news at the time.
Not only did the Tim Paine-led Australian side failed to gain enough WTC points in home Tests against India, they were also docked four points for maintaining a slow over-rate at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). India won the match in contention by eight wickets on the back of stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane’s twin batting heroics.

Cheers.

It's not over yet of course, but I'd rate our chances of batting out a draw much higher if Conway was in the lineup.

Umpire ruled that the review request was too late and the ball was missing the stumps.

I know the umpires have a tough job - but the weighting of poor decisions for and against is way to in favour of India.

Suppose you just have to accept it in India though.

From 51-5 to 234-7 declared. It's the hope that kills you...

That ball was missing by quite a lot.

He might be nicking a few, but at least he's keeping them down.

He is handling the spinners very well (knowing that he will be out in a ball or two)

79-1 at Lunch.

We've won a few sessions in this test, but this is the best for us so far.

Very well done by the Kiwis; lasting a lot better than I would have expected.

I'm too nervous to watch, but I'm sure I can rely on Ashwin to produce an unsportsmanlike moment?

I understand the sensible option of trying to bat out time for a draw, but we still have time to press for a win in the last session if we can retain enough wickets after lunch. More likely to get skittled in short order, of course.

Nervous as hell...

First ball after lunch and Somerville hooks a bouncer straight to the fielder behind square but he more than played the nightwatchman's role

Yep, that was a valuable innings. Should've kept it down.

Not watching. How is the pitch playing? Is a run chase on the cards?

Not much you can do against excellent bowling from both ends, so probably not.

 Bummer. Hope the Craps hold on. Nice to see a test in India going deep into Day 5 though.

Aye - we got in as a result of their penalty. How sad, never mind. :spin

If anyone can do it on this pitch against these bowlers, it is Kane and Rosco.

Can't see us saving the game with a draw after that last wicket., so it's a last gasp win or disaster...

Nichols makes a ridiculous review. All out for 150. You heard it here first

Five wickets in hand, good batsmen at the crease, less than a session to negotiate? Should be a draw from here.

Oof, big mistake going back to that.

Indian spinners vary their pace so well, though.
