I can't get the link to the one I played because I was hitting the random button rather than navigating from the date archive. Even knowing the word now, I think I'd still struggle! A very rare word.

I'm going to argue that having the first letter right helped you I took 3 guesses with the last 4 right and still didn't get the actual word

Do they put a lot of words with 2 of the same letters, vowels or consonants?

There's someone I follow on twitter who posted yesterday that her starting word is always today's answer.

in today's one ... I had a couple of greens, then went on to get 5 yellows. However, this does not mean I had all 5 letters but just in wrong place. I had the same letter twice and it showed as yellow twice. The answer only had it in once. Just in case others had not noticed that.

I enjoy these but can really struggle. Have a very reasonable vocabulary, but also struggle with countdown letters game. Don't seem to see words as being made up of letters somehow, they're more like concepts to me. If that makes any sense to anyone else.
