Yeah, the same. I've been playing around a bit with different opening words. It doesn't seem to really make much difference to how quickly you solve it.

It did take a while. I hadn't played before and so the first word I put in was "weary" which is the word in the how-to-play section.
I then knew W was right, E was in the word, and A, R, Y were not in the word. Only H, I, O, U can then go after W so I tried a few combinations but most came up with the the need for A, R, Y somewhere, except "wince". Didn't think it would be correct when submitting.
Part sleuthing, part luck.
Yeah, have to say that's a bit...curious.

I wouldn't have got close were it not for picking up W on the first line. Am going to retire from Wordle while I can hold my head high.

Apologies. I thought there was a new Wordle every day so no-one's going to be doing 217 again. Is that not the case?

Ok. The reason I felt it was alright to not spoiler was that at the time I submitted, the countdown clock read 30 mins to the next Wordle. I guess the clock was running local time here so I was wrong thinking 218 came out before I spilled the beans. I assumed the next day reset was global, not local.
