Today's the first day I've not got it, despite having 5 of the 6 in the third line - really don't like words like that where there are 6 perfectly valid options for the final letter and it's just random luck if you get the correct letter. Not sure how you'd avoid that situation when setting the puzzle though.

My first ever fail, and it just doesn’t seem fair. As you can see, I had 4 letters correct in the very first line. Aside from the actual answer there is at least one other possibility, so at least 8 possible first letters. Seriously p’d off to fail like this after several months…

I suffered similar. Think they could at last look to avoid setting words which have a large number of single-letter variants. It shouldn't really be a guessing game, most of the appeal is in thinking it through.Woddy wrote: Mon Mar 28, 2022 8:56 am Wordle 282 X/6

I counted 8 possible answers if you have the last four letters. Since Woddy isn't using hard mode, he could have eliminated 4 of them on the second guess, once he realised there were too many options.inactionman wrote: Mon Mar 28, 2022 9:03 amI suffered similar.
