Sards, the Boks played well. There's a lot to be positive about, I enjoyed that game. It's Rassie that is pissing me off with his antics after, not the team. They've handled themselves brilliantly.
Played well? They lost! Just like every other week. As reigning World Champions. No man, it is just not good enough. That interview is embarassing.
So, absolutely no positives from that game for you. Fair enough. Maybe Willemse should have blamed the ref for the loss, why should the players be any different from the DOR right? I'm mean rather be negative, yes that's a much better approach to interviews.

Maybe Willemse should have blamed the coaches, how bout that? For the wrong tactics and game plan as well as selections, such as selecting him in an unfamiliar position.

That's why you need to watch Rassie's movie. He is here to stay forever.

I am actually concerned that we lose against Italy again. Fans will not tolerate that.
They have been too forgiving of Rassnaber....were it Ac or Pieter they would have been gone long ago....but the entitled blame the ref and carry on.

So far all the Tier 1 nations have the beating of us......Italy must be very confident after beating the Aussies....

So far on this tour we closely lost to the number 1 & 2 ranked teams away from home. All considering, it's not too bad.

We are about 10 months out to the World Cup, no point having wholesale changes in game plan and personnel now. If they want to win the WC, the team needs to get better at executing the existing plan. From now on out you want to settle the team.

Nienaber will be judged at the end of 2023. Everyone can wait until then to deliver their verdict on his performance.

It will be Wanky Stick or Deon Davids in the hot seat next. My bet is on Wanky Stick.

I watched the Italy/Aus game live and must admit I was really impressed with Italians. Fantastic speed and skills in the backline (two of the tries were absolute beauties from Italy). Good physical pack as well. The Boks should not take the game lightly.

If du Twat (De Allende got away with one) hadn't gone full retard, there's every reason to think you could have won that game in what is the most hostile arena on the planet i.e. the crowd really is a 16th man. Remember you are playing in France again next year and so it really is experience under the belt.

I would love to know how the players feel about this.
He really has neglected his duties as DOR. Our women 7s was a joke. Our provincial boys were annihilated by the touring NZ side. Our men 7s are a mess. Our Springboks side is floundering. Our SA A side got a hiding.

After attending his appointment breakfast he had a lot of good plans going forward and I got excited. His limited coaching skills has left us a bunch of plodders instead of an exciting brand. I am so over him. It's ego.

Rassie been banned again for his videos? 2 weeks. Missed out on Twickenham again.

I kind of see the funny side of it. Wayne Barnes if anyone deserves the easily inflamed wrath of the Saffers.

As long as no one gets hurt of course.

Just remember these players were selected by Rassie and Nienaber. Given to Stick to coach. I don't think they are bad players at all. Problem lies with the coaches. It is just embarrassing.

The Springboks had a great defence at their peak, but no matter how many hits you make behind the gain line or how many rucks are pressured, it doesn’t get rewarded with points/quote]
When you show limited to no desire to break down a defence with ball-in-hand and score tries, relying mainly on penalty goals, you don’t put the game out of reach.

The Springboks rarely bury an opponent, nor do they get buried, under Erasmus or Jacques Nienaber.

This is the deal they make by playing a very limited brand of rugby centred around hardline defence, mauling and set-piece.

They won’t suffer blowout losses as a result, but the flip side also means the opponent is nearly always in the hunt. As we have seen, lower-ranked opponents have triumphed regularly over the World Cup holders.

The other problem that our coaches are causing is the lack of squad development. They think and openly state that they will always prefer the guys they know since 2018. They have their first choice 23 already fixed and it is those 23 that played in the rwc 2019 final. With Nche for beast and kwagga for louw, presumably Willemse for Frans Steyn.
No squad development means no game plan development. And vice versa. We are stuck with all that for another year.

Tour could be a godsend for the Boks.

Moon rock big lump/box kick approach that won the Lions series is out of date. Soon as they decided to spin the ball and play they looked dangerous. With the right balance that squad can easily win another world cup and they've a year to get it humming.

The Springboks DNA has all ways been build around strong 1st phase and big defense.

AC gave jersey away and we end up falling to the bottom and losing with record scores.

Strong defense won WCs. How did we won the final in 2019 against England?

How do you think coaches in the past brought in new players? Do you reckon every time a new coach takes over, he must just start from scratch and not be allowed to pick the previous coaches players? You know that Springbok players are contracted to SARU? You don't just drop an incumbent for a rookie every game with no reason.

You can be critical of who they brought in if you don't like the players but you're talking nonsense if you say there's been no development.
