Ha ha! What a win. Boks get rid of a limited coach and Leinster gets saddled with a lemon.

Absolutely.
I'd kill for a coach like Leo Cullen at the Boks or Sharks.

Maybe he'll take his daddy with him. Rassie to Leinster too.

He's not really a coach, more of a DOR/manager.FalseBayFC wrote: Sat Apr 15, 2023 12:52 pmAbsolutely.

With Nienaber going and Rassie staying I am a bit confuse here. They will be a big loss for the Springboks. What will happen if the Boks retain the WC?
No more box kicking and more attacking rugby?

Nienaber and Rassie biggest asset is detail. To be successful in South Africa you have to play the politics right. The best thing Rassie did was to appoint Kolisi as captain.EnergiseR2 wrote: Sun Apr 16, 2023 5:42 pmThat's a total myth. If they go I'd like to see Dobson getting the job. He has been excellent with the Stormers. Rassie appoint him at WP.
Exactly.....no Rassie to hold the Physiotherapist's hands.FalseBayFC wrote: Sat Apr 15, 2023 12:41 pm Ha ha! What a win. Boks get rid of a limited coach and Leinster gets saddled with a lemon.
He should be removed from the Boks immedialtely.....Surely a conflict of interest prior to the RWC , and how motivated will he be to do anything less or more than he actually does do....
Dobbo is falling apart currently. Failing at the URC , Champions Cup and Currie Cup. Libbok was struggling...what does Dobbo do.......call on Willemse to take the kicks........nooooooooooo.....leaves Manie to hang dry and have the majority of WP calling for Manies head......as well as the loss in confidenceOomStruisbaai wrote: Sun Apr 16, 2023 6:17 pmNienaber and Rassie biggest asset is detail. Good for Nienaber to emancipate from Rassie but what a strange move by Leinster.

Nee Boet, Manie is a confident player. Moving him to the bench or 15 was the $hark$ & Bulls option and look where he end up. Libbok must get his gat in rat and produce like we jnow he can. He disappoint the last three losses.Sards wrote: Mon Apr 17, 2023 6:34 amDobbo is falling apart currently. Failing at the URC , Champions Cup and Currie Cup. Hmmmm. Not sure about his actual coaching abilities.
Are people a bit confused about the Leinster setup? Leo Cullen is the head guy surrounded by different coaches with different responsibilities. Nienaber will be the most senior coach below Cullen but not in charge of Leinster overall.
Nothing like a bit of selective editing.CM11 wrote: Mon Apr 17, 2023 12:56 pmHmmmm. Not sure about his actual coaching abilities.

Saffas are confusing that's why we have to employ Welshmen to communicate with others on our behalf.CM11 wrote: Wed Apr 19, 2023 10:02 pm Well it's confusing. Is defensive coaching not 'actual' coaching?
I think he meant he's not too good as a head coach but great as an assistant.
Well he's not going to be head coach at Leinster so all good there.average joe wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 6:55 amSaffas are confusing that's why we have to employ Welshmen to communicate with others on our behalf.CM11 wrote: Wed Apr 19, 2023 10:02 pm Well it's confusing. Funnily enough, his title is head coach for SA, isn't it?

Matfield have blue balls.
There can only be one Bok coach and that is John Dobson. He have the best track record coming through the ranks.
If its Stick or Davids, we are going to be in deep kak. They never coach on URC / S100 level.

Everything in South African society is affected by our politics. Politicians have broken everything in this country, why would sport be any different?OomStruisbaai wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 12:15 pmwe are in for a rough 4 years. Our rugby going the cricket route.
Dobson has done very well. Recently it's shown tho that he still has a lot to learn. He takes too much on himself in his enthusiasm. Maybe with more of a teamOomStruisbaai wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:26 am Matfield have blue balls.![]()
