Apparently this thus-far All Blacks debacle is all on the heads of Schmidt and Ryan. Foz has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Our forwards are letting us down before they get involved though. We’re being hebeasted over the ball.

Fuck around and find out lads. When the ref says hurry up, do it.
True. It is a very disjointed (dare I say, Foster-ish) performanceGuy Smiley wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 3:18 amOur forwards are letting us down before they get involved though. We’re being hebeasted over the ball.

Ennor’s been good. Shame to see him go.
Reckon we might see some changes after half time.

It'd be an absolute classic if Fozzie loses his last home game in a dead rubber Bledisloe game.Gumboot wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 3:31 am The stop/start nature of the game is definitely helping the Wallabies. And the disjointed ABs. Such is the danger of making wholesale changes.

I think Shaun Stevenson has had some bad luck through this game that
Might tip the scales in favour of Clarke. Which is a savage shame.

Scores level 3 minutes to go and Goldie thinks this scrum could be crucial in the context of the game

I make it 23-3 once the ABs got going.
3 point nailbiter of a game
My bad, 23-6

... and obviously Foster had no part in the selection either because, as the poster I quoted repeatedly drones, "Foster has a love affair with the letter B", and we all know he wouldn't enter a test without at least one Barrett, preferably two, and ideally all three.convoluted wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 3:07 amAustralia 17 NZ 3, 22 minutes gone.Guy Smiley wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 1:53 am ...As for Fozzie…. in the immortal words of our workshop leading hand regarding life in general, you can’t decunt a cunt. Yep, same as last week the Wallabies failed to score much after an early onslaught.Guy Smiley wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 4:34 am I make it 23-3 once the ABs got going.

But if they can build on that first half performance it'll be a big step forward.
Think you may have prematurely ejaculated earlier, bro. And that's the epitome of a debacle.convoluted wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 4:40 am... and obviously Foster had no part in the selection either because, as the poster I quoted repeatedly drones, "Foster has a love affair with the letter B", and we all know he wouldn't enter a test without at least one Barrett, preferably two, and ideally all three.convoluted wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 3:07 amAustralia 17 NZ 3, 22 minutes gone.Guy Smiley wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 1:53 am ...As for Fozzie…. in the immortal words of our workshop leading hand regarding life in general, you can’t decunt a cunt. So who do you reckon enhanced their chances of making the cut for the RWC?
I thought Finau had an excellent debut and possibly booked his ticket (at Jacobson's expense?)
Thankfully Leicester's fluffed try didn't prove costly, because I thought he played very well and showed that we really don't need Clarke as a power winger.
Vaa'i was another strong performer after replacing Retallick (hope he's OK!) and if they're taking only four locks he's made a good case for being ahead of Lord. I won't be too surprised if they decide to take five though, and five props instead of six, in which case they both make it.
Stevenson got better the longer the game went on, and the more attacking chances he got. But his defence was targetted early and found wanting. As that was the selector's initial concern about his game, I wonder how much that'll count against him.
McLeod was OK, but if Ennor's injury is serious, it may have opened a door in the midfield for Havili instead.
Newell was excellent, as was Ofa. Laulala was average as he often is. I hope his experience doesn't count in his favour.

I reckon you’re pretty much spot on. I’d add that I don’t think DMac enhanced his reputation at all. He’s just not a Test level First 5.
Jordan was good at FB in a backline at times struggling to cope defensively. ALB played well considering he’d be rusty.
It’s a sad day when Coles comes in and makes your starting hooker look second rate. I expected more.
