I've been pretty clear on this. I'm totally supportive of safety measures where they are appropriate, demonstrably effective and will be enforced. I'm entirely against politically or economically (paying for the police's Xmas party) motivated, blanket changes/bans.

That was nothing but poetry being the sound made on the wind as one swings a baseball bat with sufficient velocity. A cricket bat can maybe reach lightsaber style noises whilst being swung hard enough to displace sufficient air, so cricket bats are better, they just take a lot more effort.
