The Sharks Springbok frontrow was dominated by the Bulls in their last match. Bongi's lineout throwing was worse then Dweba.Thats a much bigger concern.Sards wrote: Mon Jun 10, 2024 10:54 amMalherbe couldn't dominate the Glasgow warriors. Would be a decent team. I think if they really want to make Libbok work, they need to get another player in the team that can take the kicking duties, ala Montgomery and James . Though at this point I just cannot trust Libbok in tight pressure games, specially when weather is not perfect. He also seem to have become addicted to the cross field kick this season, it feels like he is overdoing it this season.OomStruisbaai wrote: Wed Jun 12, 2024 12:26 pm The team to start vs Wales

Masuka before SMZ. SMZ needs experienceOomStruisbaai wrote: Wed Jun 12, 2024 4:32 pmStart SMZ in 10. We need Libboks attacking and distribution skills. He is much more experience then Masuka. SMZ can slot in 12 if needed.Sards wrote: Thu Jun 13, 2024 6:12 amMasuka before SMZ. Decent Currie Cup starting lineup. They’ll do well against Boland and EP.
1 Ox Nche, 2 Bongi Mbonambi, 3 Vincent Koch, 4 Ntuthuko Mchunu, 5 Frans Malherbe, 6 Eben Etzebeth, 7 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 8 Franco Mostert.
That would be my pack. Maximum scrum power. 4 props with another 4 on the bench in the bomb squad, lets see what World Rugby thinks of that. Obviously the champion Sharks frontrow starts in the premium starting positions. The young and powerful Mchunu packs at 4, the stronger lock in the scrum. Stomp Malherbe failed against Glasgow so is demoted to the 5 jersey, his weakness will be more hidden there. Backrow has to be players capable of playing at lock as lineout options, because there are no locks now, just props. Main weakness in this experimental selection is there's 3 players who don't play for the champion Sharks.

AE is allow to play against Wales.
This is the problem with you oaks. Obsessed with multi skilled players. Don't believe in specialist players. SMZ is a freak talent. I believe he is the real deal. But where? He needs to nail down 1 position. Will struggle to be better than Fassi at 15. Bus is vol op 10 en 12. I would love to see SMZ moving from that toxic environment at the Stormers and move to the Sharks and be the master of 1 position.OomStruisbaai wrote: Thu Jun 13, 2024 6:59 amWe need Libboks attacking and distribution skills. Look. He has not been overhyped and let's his actions do the talking. Not the media. Besides Sharks need a new wimg.
But what would I do with him. 13 is short on depth for the boks. Him and Hooker are the future.

Damn right. Have you seen the distance Fassi gets on his kicks. Huge boot. And he chases it down himself. That,, taking the high ball and ghosting through opposition is his strongest points
You have no idea how happy I am to have him back at the Sharks. I would watch his games or the highlights of his matches up north. Phenomenal player

Quan Horn is a shoe in 15. The Boishaaier has been outstanding all season. Strong defender.
So you don't fancy the 15 that got the try of the season?????OomStruisbaai wrote: Thu Jun 13, 2024 5:25 pm Quan Horn is a shoe in 15. The Boishaaier has been outstanding all season. Strong defender.
He needs to specialize.......and become a master of 1 position , not a jack of all trades and master of none
