Argentinian kickers are the most languid and rhythmical kickers. It seems to be such little effort and they strike it with almost ridiculous ease.

Good call from ref to avoid more than pen for the lift

Very fair, I enjoyed the on field try call, even if others didn'tSlick wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:42 pmHe’s been good so farTheNatalShark wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:37 pm Good call from ref to avoid more than pen for the lift
I fail to see how Cummings landing on the lower leg of a player due to the actions of others is deemed more dangerous and worthy of greater sanction than a deliberate croc roll which twisted the Argentinian prop's knee
It's ridiculous.Tichtheid wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:45 pm

Stupid question, but I'm too lazy to check myself.
If a player gets two YCs, does this turn into a Full RC, or a 20min RC ?

I think it depends what it's for - technical offences would be 20 mins, foul play would be full redfishfoodie wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:49 pm Stupid question, but I'm too lazy to check myself.

edit, actually I don't know where I got that from
I'm not aware of any exceptions to the 20min red. Someone could stab POM and they'd still be able to replace the perp after 20Tichtheid wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:50 pmI think it depends what it's for - technical offences would be 20 mins, foul play would be full redfishfoodie wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:49 pm Stupid question, but I'm too lazy to check myself.

I definitely heard the TNT team saying last week that refs still have the option of a full red for obvious foul play, punching, biting, gouging etc
I thought Tichtheid was right, but not 100%JM2K6 wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:52 pmI'm not aware of any exceptions to the 20min red. Does that not just mean instead of giving a yellow and waiting for the upgradeTichtheid wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:56 pmJM2K6 wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:52 pmI'm not aware of any exceptions to the 20min red. He’s going to be red raw by the end of the match.Slick wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:57 pm Thought BOD was good at this last week but falling into the Irish commentator nonsense this week - even the tiniest innocuous act by a green player is world class

Well that's what I'm saying, if someone stabs POM they will get sent off with no replacement, team down to 14 for the rest of the match

For those in the UK, is there anything worse on TV than the Toto Africa Barclay Card advert.

Yeah there's still the no review RC, but I suppose if you get two technical YCs, for want of a better word, then its a 20min RC.Tichtheid wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 9:02 pmJM2K6 wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:58 pmDoes that not just mean instead of giving a yellow and waiting for the upgradeTichtheid wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:56 pm

I hate to say it but they should copy the GAA & have a YC, a Black Card, aka that player is gone, & its 20 mins before you can replace them, & the RC that says hit the showers, & then go buy some nice biscuits

BOD is alright and probably the best of the Irish pundits. Compared to the likes of D'Arcy he is superb.SaintK wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 9:11 pmScarfaceClaw wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:58 pmHe’s going to be red raw by the end of the match.Slick wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:57 pm Thought BOD was good at this last week but falling into the Irish commentator nonsense this week - even the tiniest innocuous act by a green player is world class![]()

Just did a bit of googling and it seems they were going to decide whether to make it apply to all red cards but have delayed that call. I must have misunderstood originally.Tichtheid wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 9:02 pmJM2K6 wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:58 pmDoes that not just mean instead of giving a yellow and waiting for the upgradeTichtheid wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:56 pm

So the "red cards ruin matches" crew still have to fear their team's thuggery for now
